Is there such a thing?.....

I chose this career because it is said to be "recession proof" but I don't think I'm going to be happy in the nursing field.
I don't have many options for careers.

I'm trying to sort this shit out now before I actually enter into the program and give up 2years of my life.

Anything in the health care industry is usually a high demand job no matter what part of the country you live in especially nursing, but the field is definitely high stress. If you go into nursing it is best if you do become an RN instead of an LPN because more hospital regulations are demanding RN levels of certifications. Also, when starting out if you choose to work in a hospital you will more than likely be working 2nd or 3rd shift which many people do not like.

Well my plan is too only work part-time as an RN.
Maybe in a doctors office? or in a clinic?
I want to work part time as a RN and then go to school for Graphic Designing. :)

That sounds like a nice idea OP!
do it now while you have the chance. things could change so rapidly.

Thanks! I know its not the traditional way of doing things.
i.e. graduate from HS go to a Uni get into 30k in debt.
but I don't to be in debt after graduation.
So, I came up with this plan.
Go to a junior college and become an RN. Then, transfer my credits to a Uni. and work part time to cover the fees, housing, etc. Instead of depending on the gov'ts financial aid!
