Anonymous Coward User ID: 1148424 United States 11/01/2010 12:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No matter how you slice it, it is utter bullshit for legislators to make false claims that somehow they are NOW intent on paying down the national debt (when everything they do is to promote the growth of govenment and the expenses keep adding up). The govt. is just looking for more ways to rape us and sell us on the con-game. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 938170 United States 11/01/2010 12:31 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | And add this: Repeals after 2017 the individual income tax, refundable and nonrefundable personal tax credits, and the alternative minimum tax (AMT) on individuals. Directs the Secretary of the Treasury to: (1) prioritize the repayment of the national debt to protect the fiscal stability of the United States... So until 2017 you will have to pay the IRS your usual amount of personal income tax (which is going to skyrocket in January due to the phasing out of numerous tax credits and then shortly later because of ObamaCare) AND the 1% x X transaction tax. So, it does not end the IRS (god forbid) but it promises to end personal income taxes in 2018 (and tax credits for individuals). Of course the reason they want to wait until 2017 is to rape the American people for an additional 4.1 trillion dollars in 1% transactions fees (supposedly to "Balance the budget and end the Federal Deficit"). This is great on paper, but when you consider the deficit is already at nearly 13 trillion (not counting future debts approaching 100+ trillion dollars) they are pissing in the wind... If they don't stop spending money at the Federal Level and don't stop printing worthless money at the Federal Reserve Level, then the whole system is going to collapse any way, no doubt in late 2017 |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9905641% vs 30% Easy choice. 1% of deposits and withdrawals. Think about it. Then it becomes really easy... Simply quit using the banks ;) exactly... If you get 100 Dollars you lose 1. For 10,000 you lose 10 For 100,000 you lose 1,000 Oh did I mention that's just the deposit. You now gotta pay the government to get your money back. Here's another zero 0 |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 567074 United States 11/01/2010 01:38 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Congressman Fattah has been trying to introduce legislation like this for the last 5 or 6 years. His bill has absolutely no supporters, and its' passing has about as much chance as a snowball in hell. Just like that congressman who sponsors a draft bill every year for everyone under 45 or some such nonsense and gets shot down every year too. |

If the federal government thinks it can simply draft my personal bank acount they will find out pretty quickly how I treat theives that take my stuff. This might be a good time for the fed to review why the second ammendment was written in the first place. but they steal money out of your paycheck every week, and i think thats worse. but no one has excercised the second amendment yet. what are you waiting for? someone to do it for you? what are u waiting for? |
