Anything specific in the plan, because as far as I can tell unless someone else is paying for your Health care or you have non you would be better off under this plan.

Well, it would seem that way wouldn't it. But some of us that had AFFORDABLE healthcare no longer do, thanks to dear leader's new redistribution swindle.

That's why I am for a single payer system. Everyone would be covered. Let the Gov handle the Big medical expenses like Medicares part A plan and leave it up to us to pick up the smaller doctor visit type stuff. Actually use my tax money to benefit me instead of liberating some third world country.

Anyone can see the system we have is only working out for the insurance companies. Something had to be done. I think the Healthcare plan didn't go far enough. Too many Corporationalists in the mix.

I didn't have it for many years and accumulated a lot of debt over it. Am I crying over it? Do I want Nanny to take care of it for me? NO.

Also you do understand. Hospitals have a product we have to purchase. They charge whatever they want. There is no competition so prices skyrocket. Something had to be done to try and bring down costs.

Several congressmen had good plans they were proposing but Obama wouldn't even consider their plans. Instead he kept pushing his crap legislation.

I think the "higher premiums" is a myth. Instead, I believe we pay higher premiums because of a litigious society. Doctors have to cover their arses and then pass along the costs to us.

The plan was never to really give everyone health insurance. The plan was to bring down cost, but it was watered down so the Gov saves money but more cost was shoved on to everyone else to appease the insurance companies. This was the GOP addition the the plan. Over 200 amendments were added by the GOP. He tried to make everyone happy and ended up only pissing everyone off. But he tried.

This "Plan" was implemented with one purpose and that was to further hurt the already hurting middle class Americans and to hurt companies doing business here.

Do you even know what your insurance company does for you? They negotiate price. Like Wal-Mart, the bigger the group the more savings you can get. You not only have bargaining power but you also have a large pool of money to draw down expenses from. The idea was to make the insurance companies have to compete with each other for your account. The ones that could reduce cost would have more members therefor more bargaining power, not only costing you less for coverage but also lowering hospital costs.

I am not shilling for "Obamacare". I don't think he went far enough. You call him a Socialist but he never pushed for a single payer system( a true government run health care plan).I would gladly pay a few more dollars in taxes to get free healthcare. It would cost less than I am paying now.

I'm on a health savings plan. I have no problem paying for my own health expenses. I put a little bit in it every week and whenever I go to the dentist or doctor or pharmacy I hand them my HSA debit card and I'm good to go. If I ever have a major health issue my insurance company takes over after a couple thousand bucks out of my pocket.

I agree about all the parties, vacations, and golf games! But.....what could he have told us or "explained" in the 51st speech that he didn't say in the previous 50?
