PNA rejects Israeli call to resume talks

RAMALLAH, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- The Palestinian National Authority (PNA) on Tuesday rejected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's call to resume negotiations.

Saeb Erekat, the chief Palestinian negotiator, said the talks can not resume while Israel has just published plans to build new Jewish settlements in Jerusalem.

Netanyahu made the call on Monday during his five-day visit to the United States.

"We expected that Netanyahu goes to Washington to declare his desire to continue the negotiations," Erekat told Voice of Palestine Radio.

"But Netanyahu is sticking to the settlement building," Erekat said, referring to the new building plans.

Is he right or wrong, i´d be pissed too when they continue to build settlements on palestinian territory, but it´s also not good to let the chance of an agreement be wasted.

I´d like if Israel allows palestinians to build settlements in Israel in return. :-)
