DEBUNKING 10 Minute "Mystery Missile" Footage off Cali. Coast (Before it comes out..if it even does)

Theoretical formula for the distance of the horizon can easily be calculated using Euclidean geometry.

R = radius of the Earth = 6,378km = 3,963mi = 20,924,640ft

d = 28,9314 ft = 54.7 mi ~ 55 mi

We will get why we don't use the line of sight from the jetliner later.

Now

Suspected flight that made the unusually large contrail was U.S. Airways AWE808

Its stated that it was at cruising altitude in order to produce the contrail...so the velocity is more or less constant.

so

Speed = 450 kts = 517 mph = 8.6 mi per min
Altitude = 37,000 ft

r = rate
t = time

d = r*t
d = 8.6*10
d = 86 mi

Now

The current explanation for the "mystery missile" off the California Coast is...

Flight U.S. Airways AWE808 from Honolulu to Phoenix was traveling directly towards the cameraman at its cruising altitude of 37,000 feet traveling at 450 kts or 517 mph and this is what produced the illusion of a missile/rocket traveling directly upwards.

This is fairly easy to debunk now...

The video images were captured by the KCBS news helicopter in L.A., where his height(h) above sea level is roughly 2,000 ft. (considering L.A. is fairly close to sea level and light/small helicopters should fly at altitudes no less than 1,000 feet AGL. For medium
helicopters, the recommended height is 2,000 feet AGL, and, for heavy/large helicopters,
4,000 ft AGL. helicopters should fly atand light/small helicopter at)
So, for the observer in L.A. the distance to the horizon = 55 mi and a flight (AWE808) traveling directly towards the observer at a constant velocity of 517 mph or 8.6 miles per minute it would've passed overhead and continued east for another 31 miles.

This was obviously not the case...

So, is the last 8 minutes or so of the video not being released because we would see this occur and find out the cameraman was intentionally reporting a bogus story?
or
because this object was unknown to the Pentagon, NORAD, NORTHCOM, and the DoD for over 2 days and still is...?

Finally

You do not use the "jetliners line of sight" at 37,000 because...
The most simple way I can explain this is, if you put the jetliners height(h) above sea level (about 37,000ft) into the equation you come up with about 236 mi. distance to the horizon.
Now saying that if the jetliners line of sight is in the range of the observer, the observer must be able to see it, right?
No
Here are two situation easily illustrating why...

1. If a severe storm system was moving from Austin, TX towards Dallas, TX with clouds exceeding 35,000 you would not be able to observe those storm clouds from Dallas.
Again, if you were in Columbus, OH and a severe storm was at the very westerly edge of the boarder of Ohio (which is only about 96 miles away) you cannot see this storm with your eyes.
2. Assuming you could see this airliner from 236 miles away traveling at 517 mph you would observe the airliner flying straight towards you for about 30 minutes...when was the last time you saw a commercial airliner on the horizon take roughly 30 minutes to travel directly above you?
Never, that is obviously much to long of a time.

Anyway you look at this the "10 min video" is still BS, simply because if you were to observe a commercial airliner traveling at that speed the moment it was in your line of sight at the horizon, it would surely travel a great enough distance to where you could see it was not a missile/rocket.
