For example, what is yellow, looks what it looks like to me, but it looks red (my red) to someone else, but which that person calls yellow.. similarly what is green for me is green for everybody, that is, all of us call it green, but everybody sees a different colour.... what do u think ? Quoting: The Reincarnated OneNope. Our eyes (and brains) are similarily constructed which means what we see should basically be the same. A more interesting question (no offense) is what the world really looks like? A dog sees the world without color. A fly sees it in a different way. We see it as we do. Who is right? No one or every one. What the world really looks like (if there is such a thing) is impossible to know. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 276706 United Kingdom 11/18/2010 07:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It is not possible to see a colour Yellow as green from another persons point of view. Because our brains are similar in construction and the wave lenght of Yellow will be the one every rain recieves. However it is possible to see a different SHADE of yellow depending on the person. We all see Yellow as Yellow but each person will see it in their own personal shade according to slight veration in brain structure. That is why we all see exactly the same person standing in front of us but out interpertation of that person will be somewhat different. What we will not see (as you are trying to say)is a dog as a human or a stone as a camel. Your sister was on to something but she did not think it through |

I see them the opposite as they do, it's kind of weird, so whenever we talk about a specific color, we have to be very detailed about it so we know we´re talking about the same hue or shade... :) |

Quoting: The Reincarnated OneYeah, I had that thought as a kid. Here's another couple: What if every person has his own personal time? Maybe a minute in my life is a few picoseconds to someone else, and someone else would experience those picoseconds as billions of years. However, since we interact with each other and experience it according to our own rate, no one notices. What if the sun is the only star in existence, and our solar system is surrounded by wormholes in closed space loops? Slight variations within each wormhole give the illusion of differing size and light spectra for each "star," but each one is really a distorted image of our own sun? Yeah, I had an active imagination as a child. It's good to be open-minded, just don't let your brain fall out. |
