This is the first issue of government abuse (amongst the heaps of abuses) that I can openly discuss with my sheople friends and family without feeling the need to don a tin-foil hat. Sure the other abuses are no less real but people can actually feel this one (in their pants) and are starting to wake from their stupor.

These people would get to bypass regular security lanes upon having their biometric card checked, subject only to random screening of a small fraction.

There's a word for this, when people who want more control over the masses create a fake "problem" and then institute a pre-planned draconian "solution" to fix it.

But I can't remember what it is at the moment.

It's one of the basic building blocks of totalitarianism.
