The Mark of The Beast is not a number.

Revelation 13:15-16

15 The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. 16 It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads

I suspect receiving the mark is something you agree to in your thoughts (inside your head/brain = forehead) and by your deeds and actions (shaking on it/agreeing to do it = right hand).

In other words, your thoughts and actions will line up with the agenda of the beast.

This is the tip of the iceberg . the "jesus" of Islam is prophesied to return along side their 12th imam. He is to kill the pigs and break the cross. Anyone who doesn't leave Christianity will be beheaded. this matches the "false prophet" of revelation who will have two horns like a lamb yet speak like a dragon and force all to take mark.
