No, Gnosticism is not the enemy of the Bible.
Clement of Alexandria wrote an entire book explaining Christian Gnosis, and what a Christian Gnostic is in the context of the apostolic Johannine writings.
The enemy of the New Testament Gnosis is anti-docetic, neo-Platonic Gnosticism.
The New Testament contains its own consciousness of Christian Gnosis. Apostle John wrote directly in address to the lie of Anti-docetic Gnosticism, while at the same time emphasizing Christian docetic Gnosticism sating "we know", "we know", "we know".
Modern new age, anti-docetic gnosticism is what John refers to as the Antichrist. Modern anti-docetic gnostics have set up a false dichotomy between Gnosticism and Christianity. That is not where the rub is. The issue is between docetic and anti-docetic Gnosticism.
So let's get the argument straight first of all. As a baptized believer in Jesus as the manifested Son of God, I am a docetic Gnostic. And I am not an anti-docetic Gnostic. I am a Christian, not an Antichristian.
