I have read the three secrets of Fatima, at least what has been released to the public, and I find it highly suspect. First of all, it wasn't released when it was supposed to be, in 1960, but 40 years later, too late to be of any help. Secondly, it seems very possible that this 'secret' was made up after the fact to fit the events that had already happened, specifically the second world war and the cold war, with nothing new being revealed. It is curious that the writer of this alleged prophecy had a good understanding of the symbolism used in Revelation, such as the demons and creatures that are described, which represent organizations and countries, but then that itself is not so extraordinary. Lots of people have figured out that symbolism. Third, the 'Lady of the Rosary' does not actually identify herself as Mary, and seems to be arrogating to herself authority that rightfully belongs to God. I am not convinced of its authenticity, and even less so of the integrity of Cardinal Bertone. For those who don't know, he's the one who went on a TV interview and failed to make his case for the veracity of the claims that the entire secret has been revealed, but rather he has made it seem more in doubt than before.

But then what can you expect from Rome?
