If you're on GLP, i'm betting there is a good chance you're employed in the art of manipulating the opinion of the public.

But don't just stop there.

Pretty soon, if you get your way, everybody will think alike and share the same consensus opinions about everything.

Wouldn't it be great if we were all cookie cutter assholes with no independant thought or freewill to guide us out of this dungeon?

If you use technology to manipulate peoples independant thought and freewill, I don't see a bright future for anyone.
Don't believe anything I say... I lie all the time.

Re: Don't let the "news" dictate your attention and manipulate your opinion.
Actually there is another strategy in addition to conformity of opinion.

By which you encourage as many people as possible to "form their own opinions" about every thing, creating an infinite number of opinions and beliefs to subscribe to - no matter how meaningless, outlandish, ridiculous, or misinformed they might be.

how many times do you hear "oh, that's just your opinion" used to completely disregard someone else?

when truth doesn't matter, when people only hear what they want to hear and what suits their taste and prejiduce, you can pretty much let anyone have any opinion they want and it won't matter.

confusion and manipulation are what you're left with.

freedom of speech is allowed only because talk is cheap.

just another way to look at the same thing.

The funny thing is that people's opinions are lies.

What I mean is they think something is their opinion, but their opinion is based on a piece of info that they take as fact, but is not true.

In other words, people's opinions are often wrong!!!
