Quoting: Anonymous Coward 769657No, they'll have breathalyser sensors in your vehicle as well. If you're over the limit the car won't start! The technology already exists! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 391800 United States 12/09/2010 10:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What a great idea. Lower their impulses through alcohol, and get the dumb sheep to buy more shit. That should save the American economy from the excesses of Corporate greed. Better yet. Now that Homel*nd Defen*e have taken Walmart over, they can taint the wine with a virus. Hopefully, it will only kill fat and dumb fu*ks who shop at Walmart. Time to start culling the fat dumb ones. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1189536Bingo, you just won a bottle of wine. Yes, everything is being geared up to control every aspect of everyone's life. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1069180 Japan 12/09/2010 10:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Great, it's so you can get wasted on the way home. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 769657well NO it makes you take a Breathalyzer Quoting: Anonymous Coward 901964and I would think these machines will also control how much you buy... thats what its all about controlling what people buy and how they buy it Actually, what I think AC769657 was trying to say as that once you buy it, then you could open the bottle and have a few swigs on the way home, and by the time you're home, you're wasted. I agree with you, though, and I think it is very eery that they even make people use their DRIVER'S LICENSE to buy it--under the guise of making sure that you are over 21, of course. That way, as you said, they ARE able to control how much you buy, but they would also be able to tell, at any given moment, what you buy, how much you buy, and by your drinking habits, how much you have on hand. If enough people buy from this machine, it may even act as a prototype, so eventually, even though YOU don't want to buy from the machine, it may become mandatory for you to swipe your driver's license on a machine before you're allowed to buy your wine or beer, or other alcohol. That's scary! Any seriously minded American who loves his freedom should steer clear of this machine--and other machines like it. It could only be a trap to help you LOSE yet another freedom! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1069180 Japan 12/09/2010 11:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So, how does it determine if you are 21+ - Oh let me guess "you have to provide your credit card" ! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1170613Can you READ? Or worse yet, since the OP also posted a video, can you HEAR? It's NOT your credit card. It's your DRIVER'S LICENSE! With your driver's license, the machine can get your name, address, phone number, arrest history, outstanding warrants, and all sorts of other POLICE DATA on you. The credit card doesn't have that information--or at least, not all of it. First you have to put in your driver's license (ummm, to verify your age) then you have to lean over and give the breath test (ummm so they can get your breath--and DNA, and eye scan, and voice recognition, and face scan), and you take out your driver's license. THEN you put in your Debit/Credit card to pay for it. Oh, how silly of me! I first asked if you could READ--and then I WROTE all of this! |

Quoting: daughterI am boycotting WAL-MART because they are being so cozy with homeland security. There is no way I would trust what they are asking people to do. It like Nazism, if someone doesn't like you they just might turn you in, and you would be innocent. Just imagine what people that want to get even with someone could and some would do. More big sis using technology to capture what you buy, and store not only your ID, but face recognition, iris scan , voice scan, and DNA capture through the Breathalyzer! All stored in the data base, supercomputer called the Beast. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1121571 United States 12/09/2010 12:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Can anyone say NWO??? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1179934A self check out kiosk that not only takes your drivers license and HD picture of your face, but also takes a full DNA scan. Yes people cleverly disguised as a 'Breathalyzer test' (Why would this matter? Shouldn't they be concerned about what your blood alcohol content is AFTER you drink and forced to drive home??) They have had breath DNA tests for years and if in 2006( [link to www.epigeneticsnews.com] ) they could get a full DNA scan with a hand-held device, then imagine how quick and easily they can get one using this large machine. First its certain items such as alcohol or tobacco, then slowly make all purchases mandatory via this intrusive abomination. Boycott the NWO machines and refuse to shop anywhere that has them, even if you have to pay a bit extra or drive farther(you will have to, its only a matter of time). Yes! Food, medicines, water, everything. No one can buy or sell without this technology soon. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1189688 United States 12/09/2010 12:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The practicallity of this depends on the liquor laws in the state where it's to be used. Some US states have only state-run liquor stores, which carry much more overhead and therefore are fewer and farther between in those states. Wouldn't do Oregon any good, wine is available, but liqour must be bought at a state store. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1121571 United States 12/09/2010 12:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Pronto Kiosks Purchasers insert their driver's license (or other state-issued ID card) into a scanning device that will read the information from the magnetic strip. A customer service representative for the PLCB will be monitoring the transaction via video link from a remote location and will check the driver's license information to ensure the consumer is of legal drinking age. They will also visually verify the person standing at the kiosk is the same person on the license. Before the transaction is completed, the consumer will then have to test their breath alcohol concentration by using a breathalyzer. The breathalyzer sensor can determine whether a consumer is over a set BrAC level simply by having him or her blow into an opening located on the kiosk. The customer service representative will be presented with a pass/fail indication based on the breath alcohol sensor results and have the ability to approve or deny the transaction. If the consumer presents themselves as of legal drinking age, matches the picture on the authentic ID card, passes the breathalyzer, is not visibly intoxicated, then the customer service representative will approve the sale. [link to www.simplebrands.net] It's all about collecting DNA, Iris and face scans to go with your drivers license, for the Beast. |
