I like your above post just fine as long as it helps RT. It doesn't matter what angle prayers/good wishes/positive thoughts/love takes. It's probably a good thing that these things are coming in from all beliefs.

Damn that is going to hurt for life. I broke my big toe a few years ago and the doctors didn't do shit about it. It still hurts severely to this day. His foot is about a billion times worse than my big toe. Whewee

I had a wonderful friend with a huge problems, she was my mom and had a brain tumor, diabetes, parkinson's and major plaque in her legs. My mother I'm sure had suffered more than most and i was the first to say "It's your battle to fight". Shit does happen and it happens to good people of all kinds. The problem is, that when the shit happens, everyone starts a fund or asks for prayer. Why do these people except people to help and bail them out?(kinda the same as a government bailout right?) And what if i pray to the wrong God? Bottom line is that the people involved want piety or people to acknowledge the problem, as if most don't have problem of their own. The problems you encounter in life are for you to overcome. Maybe they are a test from God, maybe a re-payment of karma, or maybe a predetermined life path to learn from. So I ask, what makes this one person more worthy of our(glp) prayers or help? Second, broken bones heal, and like the first guy I quoted said" look at the whole world...your talking about one person....and he is prob in america...awww poor baby...look at the world your fucks..." Why not pray for the people in Iraq, or the starving in Africa, or the homeless guy down the street, it's because they're not worth enough for you to care, people offering prayers are full of shit and want to feel good.

I put you on my buddy list - thought I already had you on there

I fell about 40 feet while training in the military, destroyed my right knee (lost both ACL and PCL tendons) and had a serious head trauma (which, thank God, didn't impair me mentally - I think...:P) dislocated two discs in my lower back and now live in pain every day from it (winter is the worst.)

But I lived. I know what it feels like to be in a hospital (military or otherwise) for weeks. Especially knowing that your career is over and that you now have to figure out what to do with the rest of your life. Hardest days of my life.

My prayers will be for him tonight. My empathy is surely there already.
