Maybe this is my imagination, but I swear that this is the case. Weird for a seafood restaurant which should have the skinniest people.

I put on 2 lb everytime we go out, no matter what I eat. Even if it's just fish and salad at Red Lobster.

I believe it's because they use unhealthy oils and other stuff like high fructose corn syrup in all the restaurants. No olive oil or butter - that's only for 5 star hotels these days.

Consequently, we no longer eat out and haven't for many, many months.

Red Lobster serves those annoyingly delicious cheesy biscuits. Now, in most cases the doubleplus++ obesity upon dining at Red Lobster is caused by actually eating the biscuits. However, even if avoided the calorie levels in the air are so elevated it's hard to avoid spontaneous fattening.

Good fat keeps you thin. It's carbs which make you fat, and too much protein - as that goes straight to fat too.

Yes I would never eat 5 biscuits in a day, but at RedLobster half a dozen, with added butter!
I would try to eat at RL when I was on the Atkins diet, forgot how good those bad boys smelt. Had to restart diet.

I'll give you a secret.

The cheesy biscuits that everybody always raves about can be made at home.

Simply mix bisquick as per the "drop biscuit" recipe on the box. Add cheese when mixing, bake.

People think that Red Lobster has some fancy recipe, but its just cheap garbage. Do that shit at home for pennies.

Fried shrimp, baked potato with sour cream and butter, salad with ranch dressing, and lots of those buttery cheese biscuits. Top it all off with a nice big slice of key lime pie. No calories there! :)
