Any metalheads on GLP....?

Not me but there are three metalheads in my house. I admit to liking a few songs. My brother in law has a band called Iron Cross. Mostly crap to my ears but they have one song that is so good it should be on the radio and heard by all metalheads. It's called " The Brotherhood" i see, i see.

Yeah it's dated but who cares.... I used to play this shit live in a cover band

Oh dude, Pantera is near and dear to my heart. I spent most of my 20's in love with them, seeing ALL the shows when they were on the east coast, which was alot.

One of the best live shows I've seen was Pantera & Machine Head (EARLY MACHINE HEAD). Oh the joy! I miss that shit!

Used to be, but the gradual washing down of the genre. Not to mention Elitism of the "fans" got boring, especially the past 2 years when I gradually discovered places such as GLP, and other music genres as Breakcore.
Im thankful for my phase in Metal, but as for it being a lifelong dedication, it really was nothing but a passing phase through some teenage angst. Can't be "angry" all the time.

Well that's not true about the 'anger' thing! Sadly, alot of the best musicians never get their due. Most of the beautiful metal lately comes out of Europe. I do get dejected when people equate this talented music with anger. It's not that at all. Aggressive yes but even that is not always the case. There is much more than meets the eye/ear with this genre.
