Hey GLP Weatherman! What the heck is up with the odd weather patterns in the Northern Hemi? | |
KevinMartinWx User ID: 1182706 ![]() 12/17/2010 11:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I live in Detroit and its normally not this cold until late January. Was looking at a retrograding low pressure system as well that came in off the Atlantic and into Canada. I know east to west movement isn't unheard of, but don't they usually stall out and then go back east? This one seems like its going to make it all the way to the Pacific! I'm not trying to overreact here but it just seems like this is a little more than a late fall/early winter cold snap. Odd things happening in GB as well. Whats your take on all of this Kevin? Quoting: Mr. MugglesIt is not a normal La Nina. Seems we will see the "La Nina" pattern switch in January and you'll notice a change. Certainly an odd month. We are about a month behind schedule. Hmmm...does that mean less precip in January? I can totally live with a below average snowfall this season lol "You can safely assume that you've created God in your own image when it turns out that God hates all the same people you do." |

Don't quote me on this... but isn't it an abnormally early Greenland Block? |

I'm really surprised there hasn't been more serious research into this by NOAA "You can safely assume that you've created God in your own image when it turns out that God hates all the same people you do." |
