Guess what else causes folks to question one's "station," OP, and sometimes, one's writing skills?

Overuse of a single, outdated word in one's writing will do it. Case in point: 6 uses of the word "cuss" in a 5 sentence post. "Cuss word" has synonyms, you know?

Also, poor punctuation and spelling is indicative of one's education level, and often, one's very intelligence, as many people who have not been able to achieve formal education have educated themselves to a point where they are able to write properly.

Ellipses (those little dots of which you are so fond), are not typically used as a punctuation in place of a period, and if one is to use them, it is customary, and grammatically correct, to use only three.

Oh, and I use profanity sparingly around these parts for emphasis when needed.

Also, it's fun, and I like telling tards to shut the fuck up every now and then.

When it is overused like I heard some guy on chat keep saying "Got damn" every sentence, its enough to make me leave the room, or even dislike that person.

When I hear folks cursing ever other word, I want to tell them to increase their vocabulary skills.

It's offensive to so many people, but these days no one cares.

I think OP is right. It took me a long time to clean up my language after working a job where swearing was commonplace. Now when I hear people swearing, I avoid them. Not saying they are not good people or they are below me in any way, just that I don't care to be around that kind of language.

I was raised in a family of 'creative cussers' so I have a pretty thick skin, I realize it is not necessarily a sign of low intellect but does show a pretty low regard for others' intellect.

For example, I was once in a room where they were setting up a live Larry King broadcast, and I was in earshot of him before the show went on the air. The profanity that King was using was really over the top, and totally audible to the audience and his guests (Robert Reich) all of whom seemed to think he was quite amusing.

I was a bit shocked, I must admit, carrying on like that in front of a live audience where anyone could have recorded it, but I guess in the end it was no big deal...
