Solstice or Christmas? Look at the moon!!
Look at the moon if you can..

I am amazed!

It is no wonder that this is the pinnacle of human celebration.

This is when when man's relationship to earth.. to gaia.. is at its strongest.. its obvious.

Can people in the northern hemisphere see this moon?

Nothing.. compared to what I am looking at..

Its like day time here.. when its nearly 2am..

But the way it is reaching into my soul is something else again..

I guess I am mainly referring to the spiritual part.

Re: Solstice or Christmas? Look at the moon!!
Solstice.

My child and I celebrate/ count down to Solstice... but then we celebrate Christmas with the extended family.

The in-tune-ment with Nature is much more personal and deep for me. I'm hoping to pass that on to my daughter.

It's daytime here, but I'll make a point to step out tonight and see what the moon looks like, despite the cold.
