crazycanuck User ID: 1000602 ![]() 12/24/2010 03:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Christmas Eve. Quoting: J-RicoSpending it alone. I hardly drink anymore, but, Christmas Spirit = Beer. I'll tell you right now what I don't drink: - Anything that says Light at the end of it. Sam Adams Light MAYBE. - No Corona, Heineken, Miller, Budweiser. - Willing to try anything new. So... GLP suggest J-Rico what beer he should be drinking on Christmas Eve. And please avoid "local" brands, I'm in New Jersey so it'd be tough to buy something that they only sell in Minnesota. GLP Beer Drinkers... GO! Try "Carib" it's a lager from Jamaica, very very very good tasting, and you can't go wrong with Becks. For a darker beer experience, try a chocolate porter (festive, delicious, high alcohol %, a good sipping choice), go to the import section and pick a British or Scottish brew to try - Hobgoblin ale is really good! ![]() |

I bought a few 24 ounce cans of some stuff called "Steel Reserve" a few weeks ago for the first time. It supposedly is 8.2 % alcohol. Just a few of those can knock ya on yer ass in no time flat. |

Here's what I got: 4 pints of Boddington's 6 pack of Fat Tire 6 pack of Guiness Extra Stout Apple cider 6 pack of The Golden Monkey And... a small Bailey's. It's not all for tonight. I don't want to die. But I thought I'd get the bases all covered. There were so many good suggestions but a few of them weren't available to me. I'm definitely saving this thread for myself. So many beers I want to try out. Everyone dies, but not everyone lives. :moranrico::Rico::moranrico: |

Native-Alien User ID: 1205897 ![]() 12/24/2010 04:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Anyone ever tried "Kilian Red"? About 4 years ago I bought a six-pack of bottles of that crap after work one day for the fist and only time. Figured why not? Let's try something different... I was on the 5th bottle, and I swear I felt sicker then a dog and felt like I was gonna hurl. ![]() That 6th bottle was in my fridge for years after that. I finally tossed it to the trash only just a few months ago. I think that's the only time in my life I ever felt sick from drinking beer.... well, except for the VERY first time when I was a teenager anyhow. |

I like it with a good lemonade....1 beer thinned down with 1/4 volume of the good lemonade. What, like a shandy? Stella is a great beer, but never made a shandy with it.You don't mean lemonade as in made from lemons right? No, lemonade in this context is more like what you call Sprite, but less sweet. I know i'm a Brit that swhy i questioned the lemonade part..I couldn't imagine it with real lemonade like they have here.Cheeers |
