I can't believe I missed this thread but if you live where you can get Fat Tire then things are alright.
 Quoting: popcorn

Yep, Fat Tire is where it's at.
I was converted last year and have done to so many others as well. This thread definitely helped open up some new drinking possibilities to people... and killing my liver.

I have drank a lot of beer and Grolsch is the best I ever had. brewed in Holland.

Get your self a 4-pack of 16 oz. poptop bottles. You wont be disappointed.

So you say you like the light beers, correct?

I enjoy the pales, particularly the IPA's - I am a "hop head". Depends on your pallet and your mood.

My favs are:

Dale's Pale Ale (very quality Colorado Pale)
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (quite available and quite tasty CA)
Long Hammer IPA (again available and affordable CA)
Odells' IPA (this takes teh win)
New Belgium's Ranger IPA (toned down the hops but still a good balance)

On the lighter side you may consider Blue Paddle (Pilsner), Sunshine Wheat, or Easy Street Wheat.

Those are some of my regular picks - I am enjoying a Dale's right now:)

I like light beers if they are imported...

I stay away from Bud Light, Coors Light, anything that's basically water with a splash of alcohol.

I could have sworn I had seen Ranger IPA today. If I see it agian, I'm picking it up.

I usually prefer Amber though, anything darker.
I will try any flavor of beer too, I'm not stuck on any one particular taste.

I'm a "JD" drinker. I like the sweeter taste, so I always drink that lol

But beers I am always open to try new stuff.

I've seen a LOT of Flying Dog... what's that like?

Re: Suggest a beer!
Here's a suggestion...

Take a trip to Asheville, NC and go bar hopping. You will surely find something you like.

Even (especially) if you prefer marijuana...

Flying Dog has one for every preference and they are all pretty tasty. some as high as 14% alcohol.

i personally like the amber ale or the ipa but the "Tire Bite" may be more up your alley...

I'd have to say that overall sierra nevada has never let me down.

There is always Harp (not HAARP GLPers) if you are in the mood for something lighter.

Has anyone here tried the Vanilla Porter from Breckenridge.
It's gotten decent reviews.

I'm split between trying that this weekend or Flying Dog Amber Ale.

I'm going with Flying Dog for the weekend.
I went back and read the entire thread.

So far, Arrogant Bastard and Flying Dog Amber are at the top of my "To Buy" list.
