It's completely lost on most people that catastrophic illness is the main reason for personal bankruptcy....and that 75% of those who had to file HAD health insurance.

I wonder if it holds up in court, the arrest. Does it go to a jury trial? What is a typical sentence for this?

Not that easy. Your company sends a record of your earnings to the IRS and they come after you eventually.

The TSA is part of Department of Homeland Security. It makes it's own rules and so far, protecting us from terra-ists has trumped the Constitution (thanks to the Patriot Act and more odious laws passed later that say the President can have anyone declared a terrorist and thrown in an undisclosed prison without representation forever). I think someone made up the Patdown or Arrest regulation on the spur of the moment to arrest that guy (a pilot?) a few weeks ago. It's all totally ad hoc now, and absolutely unlawful as far as I can tell -- assuming the Supreme Court hasn't been sufficiently bought to judge this accurately.
