I just saw a picture of the 3 Magi Kings bearing precious gifts for baby Jesus and they were carrying a box each, the size of a shoe box.
So I wonder what did Mary and Joseph do with these precious gifts?
even in those days, the value of that gold would have been more than enough to set themselves up for a life of confort and luxury.
So how come they were so poor?

did they squander it on the Jerusalem stock market?
