Just the odd few you see stranded in the snow Quoting: SnakeAirlinesBullshit... Around here people drive around in the snot just for fun... Just put studded Winterguard tires on the Wife's Suby... Almost impossible to get that fucker sliding on the snow packed roads around here... So you drive around in blizzards for fun? I'm not talking about your 6 to 8 inches of snow I'm talking feet. Where the roads need to be clear of stuck drivers so they can plow. You have one life. Live it. You have one voice, use it. You have one :Hickory-1: |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1169288 United States 12/27/2010 02:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Not only do people go out driving here in NE in the storms, small shops stay open as they're afraid to lose a sale, to the peril of their employees safety as the roads get worse.. But the kicker is...the "obsessive ones "who still need to get a run in and there they are running in the road as cars are slipping and sliding all over... |

Last good one (snow) was a few years back...Had to plow my drives (about a dozen then) 3 times in one afternoon to keep up, or lose them...Last round through right at dark, I am on my way back across town (very rural), and know I am going to hit the worst road in town...2 foot in the road, and my plow is in part of it...Come around a corner, and there is one of the town trucks stopped 50 yards in front of me...He had to stop because of a car in the road...A fucking 2 wheel drive Peugeot POS...The town driver said he could not 'legally' "move" the vehicle... I plowed my way around the town truck, and pushed that fucker in the ditch... Then I cleared a space for the Town truck to get a run, and he plowed me a path to my side of town, and right to my driveway... Ahhh... Good times... "Hold my cat while I bring in my tomato plant. Truther (OP) User ID: 1192944 United States 12/27/2010 02:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | To follow your logic, in some places in this country and Canada, you would be cooped up in the house from December through March. LOL Of course people have to go on like normal - duh! Quoting: FaithNo. Talk to people who deal with snowy, icy weather all the time. They'll tell you that they stay home when it isn't necessary to be out, and when they MUST be out, that they drive with caution, in vehicles that have the proper traction devices. Have a nice day. Truther :-) ...and the truth shall set you free. |

I have a 2 wheel drive car can get around pretty good on all weather tires, but I know enough to stay off the road when it gets to over a foot. If its not a life or death situation, people should not be on the road. Let the plows get the job done so the next day you can get on with your life. You have one life. Live it. Anonymous Coward User ID: 798099 United States 12/27/2010 02:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I live in Oregon on the west coast. On the rare occasion that it snows, I am smart enough to stay home and ride out the storm until the roads are cleared by snow plowing professionals who are paid to put their lives at peril for me. Quoting: TrutherYou east coast people, on the other hand, get snow nearly every year. You should be used to it. But do you stay home, off the roads where it's safe for you, friends and family??? Noooooooo... You idiots think that you can defy nature and get out on those icy slick roads and drive like it's a sunny afternoon in the park, in July, without a care in the world... I mean, who in their right friggin' mind loads up the family car with pregnant wife and three kids and thinks they can just go about life as normal, like their car all of a sudden will have traction on snowy, icy roads? Like they're going to be the only one to successfully navigate with zero traction, to avoid every other friggin' idiot that has had the same stupid brain fart idea to get out on the icy roads with all the other brain dead idiots that think that basic science has taken a friggin' holiday????? NO WONDER THE WORLD'S GOING TO HELL IN A HAND BASKET !!! Have a nice day. Truther :-) MAYBE you SHOULD TRY DECAF tomorrow.....the rant is way out of whack...it's pretty easy to drive in snow ...been doing it my entire life....Some of us have to work too...can't just stick around the house immobile because of a little snow....fucking grow up dude and lay off the crank |
Truther (OP) User ID: 1192944 United States 12/27/2010 02:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OP, are you talking about when blizzards hit or just general snow fall to us? Quoting: HickoryI am referring to the idiots who have no reason to be out in snowy, icy weather, period. Take the Kims, for instance. They're the family that thought they could snow plow their motor home through 2 feet of snow, over the coast range, in the middle of the winter, AND FROZE TO DEATH !!! It doesn't matter that Google maps said the road could get them there. What mattered was the idiot thought he could plow his motor home through 2 feet of snow... I mean, USE YOUR FRIGGIN' HEADS PEOPLE !!! WHEN THE SIGNS AND WARNINGS ARE THERE, YOU HEED THEM !!! Have a nice day. Truther :-) ...and the truth shall set you free. |

That reminds me of the people here that do not heed the cones blocking the entrance to the thruway, which had been shut down because of bad weather. They actually drove around the cones on to the thruway. <shakes head>. Then the thruway authority screwed it up even further and left people stranded on their for 22 hours. You have one life. Anonymous Coward User ID: 1208536 United States 12/27/2010 03:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yes New Englanders are gutzier then most in the snow, if it wasnt so windy people would be out skiing, some do during storms on the streets. Ever hear of snow racing, like in cars? That looks like alot of fun. Doing donuts in your car in the snow? Fun too. Today most people stayed in too windy to be out, get blown away. Other then that people do drive in the snow OP, as far as children go on a day like today they would be in playing with their Christmas gifts or resting from the weekend. We laugh at the rest of you that cry when it snows to be honest....The Canadians are crazy in the snow too, nothing new-they drive even faster then we do here. |
