I wrote about her thievery weeks ago. But no one listened. Said I was being mean. Said I was rude. Said things about my mother.

I remember that, and I agreed with you, but did not bother posting as your evidence was indisputable and obvious.

Yeah I like her backpedaling there. Oh I didn't know...yeah right.

Yup yup. Many of us, particularly of Native American descent, have been stating her falsity from the beginning. Such things are not to be trifled with, I was pretty stunned with her coming forth to begin with.

 Quoting: Opeth

I didn't need to hear much to know she is a fraud. It is really sad that some people will distort the people's traditions and package it for sale to non natives for personal gain. Sadder still is that these are the ones that non natives remember and associate with native heritage. I have often been flamed for presenting truth about our people challenging the drivel from self proclaimed shamans and seers or by non natives that read silly books and consider themselves experts. The truth is that most of our traditions are gone. Most of our knowledge is gone. What is left is kept in secret. People that really know do not seek fame and make proclamations. They are very humble people and they take their responsibilities with respect and honour. They don't go on the internet to sell things. The very people that destroyed our traditions are now the ones replacing them with lies and holding fake native tradition in high regard. Unfortunately there are natives that perpetuate these scams for their own purposes. I have encountered lots of fake shaman schools in my day. I remember one that was around called John Two Birds. He used to "train" white women from all over the world and one of the final rituals before being given a fake ancient pipe and the "title" of shaman was sex with him. Those girls really believe they are shamans. It sickens me.

The day before "ET" showed up sleeping with the daughters-of-man we acted and thought a different way. Now we are forced to live and experience life with a hybrid software package downloaded into our brain, Indians included But ever so often souls are born with the original default settings fully in place Kiesha may well be one of these.
She will work through this little web she's found herself in and I for one intend to watch and see what else might be learned from her.
As for you who are beating her up over all this---well its pretty obvious you are experiencing data entering problems where what ever you put into your little programs is only going to lead to more chaos and confusion and there is a shit load of physiological terms that could also be used to describe your inability to grasp true understanding of the great mysteries and how they work.

Thank you, and I Agree.

I wrote Grandfather Alejandro (Wandering Wolf) head of the Mayan Council (Guatemala), his coordinator emailed me back and said that
he does not support Keisha Crowther's teachings, and mentions him without his permission.

It seems that the tribe of many colors is patterned after the rainbow tribe- people have been having gatherings since the 70's.

Like some people here, some people disagreed with me when I mentioned discernment regarding Keisha. I think what they were defending was their own lack of discernment, IMHO, more than anything else.

We all know anyone can say anything and speak about peace and love, and Mother Earth. I know many unknowns ( and they do not care to be known) who are living these values, giving of themselves, practicing love for others without gaining a penny, or claiming to be shamans or chosen people.

Re: Kiesha (Little Grandmother) crowther.. EXPOSED.... both sides here...
Her first claims when she came on the scene are definitely incorrect. She's never been "made shaman over the Sioux and Salish tribes". That is definitely a fact, one that she has backpedaled on recently and even confirms herself. Her latest story is that she believed it to be true. However, she's very patronizing in persisting that her claim was wrong. It's not the Salish Tribal Council that denounces her claim. It's the Salish Elders and the Salish Cultural Committee. These are not governmental folks, but citizens of their nation who actually practice and preserve their language and culture. It's these people who've never heard of the conveniently dead "Falling Feathers", and also have no idea who her family is. Her maiden name Kreps isn't carried by any Salish people. The Salish Cultural Committee does not hide their culture. In fact, they invite anyone who wishes to learn to come and do so and consider their culture and language a treasure. They are a western coastal people who's culture does not resemble the Lakota people (a plains tribe) that Kiesha most often co-opted (i.e. the pictures of her praying with a pipe, buckskin clothing..men's clothing at that).

Her misinformation goes back way beyond her supposed initiation (which is also false...these things are not kept secret in either community and involve a lifetime commitment to their people and the land these ways are tied to....not a fly by night "initiation".....attending a sweat and smoking a pipe does not make you a medicine man. Among Lakota people, women don't take any role that would resemble that before menopause). Here's some of her art and a bio page created by Kiesha. [link to www.artwanted.com] On this page she claims her art was commissioned by the Postal Service for the Jack Dempsey Stamp. She claims this happened at the age of 23. She's 33 now so if we go by 2010 when she turned 33 that means the art was commissioned in 2000. The problem with that is the Jack Dempsey Stamp was released in 1998. [link to stamps2go.com]

A full two years earlier. If you also check out the bio you'll notice many other claims of books, CD's, awards. I challenge you to try and find these books and awards...they don't exist...I've already looked.

Her handlers Adam DeArmon (aka Adam Yellowbird) is another cultural appropriator...he's also denounced by the Lakota for selling sweats etc. He's the organizer behind the "Return of the Ancestors" gathering and made some damn good $$$ off of it. Another one is in her own "Return of the Ancestors" video. A man named John Kimmey sitting right next to her. He claims to be a prophecykeeper for the Hopi....but he's not Hopi AND there is also a very public statement by the Hopi people telling him to cease claiming he's their wisdomkeeper.

I happen to be a fan of love as well and I live by it...but the things that she says...that she says give her legitimacy....are all lies. The "predictions" she made about 2010 haven't come true and in fact most of "revelations" about things that would've become well known...are already well-known...many of them are episodes on different series on the History Channel and Discovery.

If you choose to follow her that's ok...but at least be AWAKE enough to understand that she's been pulling a lot of legs to get people to listen to her message about pole shifts, Atlantis, aliens and 2012 (a subject Don Alejandro has come out publicly disagreeing with her on...then she flip flopped positions)

Use a little discernment. God gave you a mind to use...no to lose. One other piece of wisdom...if everyone in the room agrees on everything, that means only one person is doing the thinking.

Have a great day.

And just for good measure...you'll also notice in the artwanted.com bio she lists "life experience" degrees attained from Almeda University.

Almeda is a well known online diploma mill. The "life experience" degrees involve applying, telling them your work and education experience and then...without checking anything you've told them they'll offer you degrees based on that information you've told them as long as you pay their price.

Here's one person's experience with them

More to add regarding Crowther's "recognition" by Don Alejandro (Wandering Wolf) and The Continental Council of Indigenous Elders.

Seems there's more coming from Don Alejandro's people regarding Crowther. Pretty clear statement here about her. She has been operating and using his name as well to boost her appearance of legitimacy. The filmaker for the documentary "Shift of the Ages" recently left this statement on the facebook page.

[link to www.facebook.com]

Shift of the Ages
"We are increasingly asked about the person you mention *name removed* and would like to make a statement in response to your posting.

SOTA does not know and has no affiliation with Keisha Crowther aka "Little Grandmother." Don Alejandro "Wande...ring Wolf" does not know or "recognize" her as a "Shaman," "Wisdom Keeper," or "Elder" of the Continental Council of Indigenous Elders of the Americas as she claims. Neither Don Alejandro nor the SOTA project authorized use of "Wandering Wolf's" messages or the SOTA video material used in support of the personal opinions she shares in her videos and viral messages. Much of information she is sharing is misleading and "taken" out of context.

SOTA is not here to push anyone else down. The truth will eventually reach the surface. Our prayers are that Mrs. Crowther learns a valuable lesson and she, as well as her team and followers, benefit as result."

This is a perfect example of how even the tribes have fallen into the modern way of thinking.
Look at this woman. She need not be given some official title to be what she is.
She is a person of inner beauty and love that is trying with every fiber of her being to do what was prophesied would be done. She is trying to unite the people of this planet and share the information that is not domain of any people's but is the domain of ALL people.
We are one human race. She is what she is.
A Shaman is a healer. some are physical, some are spiritual, some are both. Some people are born shamans and are never aware of the true nature of who and what they are but they do their work naturally as it is a part of who they are.

That is all I will say.

 Quoting: ~Stormy~

Stormy...maybe she is.

But she lies...and she lies a lot. How do you jump past that? If she is a "born shaman"...then she still has a lot to learn. In fact, a lifetime's worth. She's done a lot of damage already by leading people to believe that she was somehow sanctioned by two different tribes, by Don Alejandro and by the Continental Council of Indigenous Elders. None of which is true. The prophecies she claims...DO NOT EXIST. If they do...prove it wrong...show me where there is a prophecy of a fair haired girl being called forward to be a shaman for the tribe of many colors...

Don't you get it...she made it up...sounds romantic and all, but it's not true. Her "tribe of many colors" has only ONE color...what happened to the prophecy?

The truth is, she was duped by a phone call of someone whom she believed to be speaking for a real tribe and she's taken that and run with it.

Does that have the ring of "wisdom" to you? Many people say it's the message that matters....well it is. But ALL of what she says is said by others...did you really need her youtube vids to realize that being nice to each other and loving your neighbor is a good way to live?

But what about the rest of it?? Some of her "message" she has recanted and changed...completely flipflopped on. How do you reconcile that? If she can completely flip flop on one of the main subjects of her message, i.e. "the polar shift" would it not be conceivable that she could also completely flip flop on the other main parts of her message...the parts where we're descended from Aliens, her theories about Atlantis, crop circles, spirals??

ALL of the things she has stated that she believed made her a legitimate shaman have all been proven to be false. Even considering maybe she didn't lie...she definitely was wrong about it. Would a person so easily fooled really be considered "wise"?

Is the influence of her media that strong that you cannot seem to get to the actual message, but are content with being spoonfed the edited versions for your consumption?

Honestly...I just don't get it...and I just don't get how you get to judge whether someone is worthy of representing an entire nation's spirituality (two in fact)...don't slough it off as "tribes falling into modern thinking". The beef with her happens to fall from very old thinking. The strongest of which says you don't pay to pray. The cultures your talking about STILL follow their old ways...ways passed down for generations. It's people who are familiar with them that say Kiesha's deception is OBVIOUS....not governments mind you...ELDERS. So if your beef is with them as it seems to be..I suggest you go and tell them what you've stated here. Tell THEM she was born a shaman and their lack of accepting her is a result of their modern thinking.

Awful humble of ya...

Re: Kiesha (Little Grandmother) crowther.. EXPOSED.... both sides here...
About thirty years ago I was watching television preachers asking for money for prayers and donations. They would pray for the sick and weak to be healed and to be blessed. The Great Spirit said to me the following, “ It is not your place to judge them ,“ but do observe them , for they are your teachers. They are like road signs; some say stop, wrong way, danger and caution. Read these signs for you will never be like them, but it is not your place to judge. No matter where we look in the religions of the world we will find people who are at different levels of spiritual growth and who make it their purpose to lead or follow someone else's spiritual ways. I have left this to The Great Unknown, for it takes 24 hours a day to watch my own mind and to walk the Good Red Road. I am thankful for all my teachers both great and small.

From another website:

"Who are the Flatheads? Thats's ridiculous for you to think that Kiesha Crother is speaking for them-
She isn't.
- You are keeping self down with narrow mindedness.
The Flatheads do not control What Any tribes Person or what any Native American May say,do or think. They Are also not In Control over anyone's Thoughts- Other than yours. Free Your Self from thier mental slavery, and think for yourself. With Much Respect to thier Traditions and ways, and for Much Respect for Other Native American Tribes ways and much respect for new ideas that actually make sense.
-All Kiesha Crowther is trying to do is go get people to LIVE FROM THE HEART, AND NOT THE MIND ANYMORE. Another way for left brained obessors to think about Kiesha's new ideas, would be for you to completley obssess over.......... "Who she does she think she is? and so on so forth, but you left brainers- may never get a chance to feel the messege from your heart. LOve the planet, stop hurting Mother Earth, IT's that simple.
There is no cult here, just people who are being moved by her messege to actually live in love and peace with nature.
If this type of Love is bothering you, don't worry, here's what you can do to stop these loving people from bothering you - just don't pay attention anymore to them. You can not go back to your hum drum existence, living in fear of Flatheads tribe.
You are a left brained Fear based mongerer, who will needs to try something new to get out of your pattern of insanity. Sorry to break it to you like that."

The Tribe of Many Colours of Hopi Prophecy is just another way of saying salvation is open to everyone.

If those who consider themselves genuine native Americans are so offended by her message, they can just go back to their splinter ID. Apache or whatever do their ceremonies and see where it gets them.

Pay no attention to Keisha. Her message has no meaning for you.

I am Yanktonai Hunkpati Dakota and we have declared war against the exploiters. We will not stand to the side and be good puppets. We will destroy the empire of Kiesha Crowther. Mark my word!

At the Lakota Summit V, an international gathering of US and Canadian Lakota, Dakota and Nakota Nations, about 500 representatives from 40 different tribes and bands of the Lakota unanimously passed a "Declaration of War Against Exploiters of Lakota Spirituality." The following declaration was unanimously passed on June 10, 1993
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Declaration of War
WHEREAS we are the conveners of an ongoing series of comprehensive forums on the abuse and exploitation of Lakota spirituality; and

WHEREAS we represent the recognized traditional spiritual leaders, traditional elders, and grassroots advocates of the Lakota people; and

WHEREAS for too long we have suffered the unspeakable indignity of having our most precious Lakota ceremonies and spiritual practices desecrated, mocked and abused by non-Indian "wannabes," hucksters, cultists, commercial profiteers and self-styled "New Age shamans" and their followers; and

WHEREAS with horror and outrage we see this disgraceful expropriation of our sacred Lakota traditions has reached epidemic proportions in urban areas throughout the country; and

WHEREAS our precious Sacred Pipe is being desecrated through the sale of pipestone pipes at flea markets, powwows, and "New Age" retail stores; and

WHEREAS pseudo-religious corporations have been formed to charge people money for admission into phony "sweatlodges" and "vision quest" programs; and

WHEREAS sacrilegious "sundances" for non-Indians are being conducted by charlatans and cult leaders who promote abominable and obscene imitations of our sacred Lakota sundance rites; and

WHEREAS non-Indians have organized themselves into imitation "tribes," assigning themselves make-believe "Indian names" to facilitate their wholesale expropriation and commercialization of our Lakota traditions; and

WHEREAS academic disciplines have sprung up at colleges and universities institutionalizing the sacrilegious imitation of our spiritual practices by students and instructors under the guise of educational programs in "shaminism;" and

WHEREAS non-Indian charlatans and "wannabes" are selling books that promote the systematic colonization of our Lakota spirituality; and

WHEREAS the television and film industry continues to saturate the entertainment media with vulgar, sensationalist and grossly distorted representations of Lakota spirituality and culture which reinforce the public's negative stereotyping of Indian people and which gravely impair the self-esteem of our children; and

WHEREAS individuals and groups involved in "the New Age Movement," in "the men's movement," in "neo-paganism" cults and in "shamanism" workshops all have exploited the spiritual traditions of our Lakota people by imitating our ceremonial ways and by mixing such imitation rituals with non-Indian occult practices in an offensive and harmful pseudo-religious hodgepodge; and

WHEREAS the absurd public posturing of this scandalous assortment of psuedo-Indian charlatans, "wannabes," commercial profiteers, cultists and "New Age shamans" comprises a momentous obstacle in the struggle of traditional Lakota people for an adequate public appraisal of the legitimate political, legal and spiritual needs of real Lakota people; and

WHEREAS this exponential exploitation of our Lakota spiritual traditions requires that we take immediate action to defend our most precious Lakota spirituality from further contamination, desecration and abuse;

THEREFORE WE RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. We hereby and henceforth declare war against all persons who persist in exploiting, abusing and misrepresenting the sacred traditions and spiritual practices of our Lakota, Dakota and Nakota people.

2. We call upon all our Lakota, Dakota and Nakota brothers and sisters from reservations, reserves, and traditional communities in the United States and Canada to actively and vocally oppose this alarming take-over and systematic destruction of our sacred traditions.

3. We urge our people to coordinate with their tribal members living in urban areas to identify instances in which our sacred traditions are being abused, and then to resist this abuse, utilizing whatever specific tactics are necessary and sufficient --for example demonstrations, boycotts, press conferences, and acts of direct intervention.

4. We especially urge all our Lakota, Dakota, and Nakota people to take action to prevent our own people from contributing to and enabling the abuse of our sacred ceremonies and spiritual practices by outsiders; for, as we all know, there are certain ones among our own people who are prostituting our spiritual ways for their own selfish gain, with no regard for the spiritual well-being of the people as a whole.

5. We assert a posture of zero-tolerance for any "white man's shaman" who rises from within our own communities to "authorize" the expropriation of our ceremonial ways by non-Indians; all such "plastic medicine men" are enemies of the Lakota, Dakota and Nakota people.

6. We urge traditional people, tribal leaders, and governing councils of all other Indian nations, to join us in calling for an immediate end to this rampant exploitation of our respective American Indian sacred traditions by issuing statements denouncing such abuse; for it is not the Lakota, Dakota and Nakota people alone whose spiritual practices are being systematically violated by non-Indians.

7. We urge all our Indian brothers and sisters to act decisively and boldly in our present campaign to end the destruction of our sacred traditions, keeping in mind our highest duty as Indian people: to preserve the purity of our precious traditions for our future generations, so that our children and our children's children will survive and prosper in the sacred manner intended for each of our respective peoples by our Creator.
