No. Just as with DADT, people should be able to express themselves. I support both DADT repeal and freedom of religion.

So do I but I thought I would just but it out there.

How about for Transvestites and Transsexuals from Transylvania? Should they DADT that stuff?

I am the first transsexual Army Officer and served many years since the 1970's. Hopefully in Afghanistan soon.

My surgery was in 1983 and I won a precedent setting case at the Pentagon in 1988.

By the way, other NATO countries have transsexual soldiers as well as gay soldiers. The British are now paying for Sex Reassignment for transgender personnel.

No need to defend me Nikki but thanks. You went to OCS and I went to OCS, IOBC abd JFK Special Warfare School. I think I can handle a few keyboard warriors who never contributed anything to this country.

I paid a very high price along with others for standing up.
Several who stood with me are now dead of "heart attacks" both of whom I loved. One was an investigative reporter.

I know more about domestic covert operations than some of these loonies have brain cells.

AS for serving in the military I know the difference between rationality and irrationality. Some obviously don't.

AS President Kennedy said, " ASk not what what your country can do for you but hwat you can do for your country."

President Eisenhower also warned about the dangers of the military-industrial complex and how we must protect our fundamental freedoms and liberties from their influence.

Religion?
 Quoting: Nikki_LaVey

Although I understand that, you are stirring up controversy concerning religion and mainstream religious beliefs. However, giving the circumstances military members face and the potential for death, would you advocate denying religious comfort to a military member facing death?

My dog tags contained my name, SSN, and religion and given the progressive, communist and socialists aversion to religion I stand firmly in all my beliefs and wish them to be respected.

Dear I'm just trying to prove a point. There are a lot people who have been the victims of religious bias in the service. As you can see most people are against having their religion secret.

I think you can see how painful it is to be forced to keep a fundamental part of lives a secret.

I understood what you were saying and stated that in my first paragraph however I also noted that these past few years have elicited scorn and ridicule upon people with religious beliefs especially Christian. Simply reading some of the posts on this forum should justify my statements sufficiently without further elaboration.

Regardless no one should have to live hiding any part of their lives however, all require patience and tolerance a commodity sorely lacking today.

If you're the military and you've got time to discuss and make policy about sex and religion there really isn't a war going on.

They should have a dont ask dont tell policy for everything but your loyalty to this nation.

That is the only thing that matters. Whether you love your Republic, her culture and her people.

Anything else shouldn't even be an issue.

But what about freedom of speech? Soldiers aren't allowed to ask each other things? They aren't allowed to tell each other things? This would be a typical conversation under your scheme:

Soldier 1; I LOVE USA!!! I AM LOYAL TO USA!!!!

Soldier 2; ME TOO!!! USA! USA! USA!!!

Soldier 3; Yeah I also am loyal to the Republic, her culture, and her people!!! WOOOOO!!!

Soldier 4; So, how about the Superbowl? Who do you think will win?

Soldiers 1, 2, & 3; lala DON'T ASK DON'T TELL!!! WE AREN'T ALLOWED TO TALK ABOUT ANYTHING EXCEPT HOW LOYAL WE ARE TO USA!!!! WHICH WE ARE *VERY* LOYAL TO, IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING!!!

Soldier 4; You guys don't like football?

Soldier 1; You just don't get it do ya PUNK!!!! DON'T ASK DON'T TELL, EXCEPT ABOUT LOYALTY TO USA!!! NO YOU CAN'T ASK US ABOUT FOOTBALL YOU RACIST!!!11

Of course people are going to have conversations and personal conversations have nothing to do with the service and their requirements for joining.
