In regards to joining the service.
Of course people are going to have conversations and personal conversations have nothing to do with the service and their requirements for joining.

Religion is one of the first things they ask you so they can put it on your dog tags.

If you're the military and you've got time to discuss and make policy about sex and religion there really isn't a war going on.
