Richmond, VA -- A 21-year old Charlottesville, Virginia man removed all his clothing except his underwear Thursday while undergoing a security check at Richmond International Airport.

Police say Aaron Tobey told them he was protesting airport security procedures.

Tobey had also written a reference to the Constitution's 4th Amendment protections against unreasonable search and seizure on his chest. He was briefly detained by Richmond airport police and federal authorities.

Police said Tobey was issued a citation for disorderly conduct and allowed to go on his way. However, he is required to return to Richmond for a court appearance January 10th.

Police say Tobey is a student at the University of Cincinnati.

I love it. Now when he returns for court, he needs to demand a jury trial, as is our right in all criminal proceedings. I know if I was on the jury, there is no way I'd convict.

The man should have been arrested. We don't need people like that in America that cause disorderly conduct. There is no reason why people can't simply obey the rules.

Re: Man stripped down for TSA - had Fourth Amendment scrawled on chest
We all have to begin demanding a jury trial in all cases of criminal prosecution. Speeding tickets, jaywalking, loitering, disorderly conduct are all "criminal" offences to which we have the Constitutionally protected right to be judged by our peers, but we must demand that a jury be seated.

How many people are cited for speeding nationwide on any given day? Thousands? Hundreds of thousands? There will be no way for the court to seat that many juries and I believe this will result in a great deal of the minor, victimless "crimes" being dismissed and possibly no longer enforced.

The "Killing the Messenger" tact, is that what your handlers told you to employ? When you are unable to debate the merits of what was said or done, it's best to disparage those who said or did the acts?

It's an out of date ploy and all too transparent.

Why the hell can't somebody get an injunction from a court to stop these illegal searches by the TSA?
