All Care Dental has shut their doors after taking people's money - leaving patients nationwide in the lurch

Ask your local tv station what can be done regarding getting your records and anything else you need to go to another dentist. Sometimes papers can be filed to allow the sheriff's dept to go in. It may depend on your local laws. I don't know.

If anybody has credit card payments set up - call your card company now to stop allcare from taking more money from you.

Call the dental school nearest to you. They usually have low-cost clinics. Also see if there's any kind of emergency clinic that might extend credit.

This site is being updated on January 3rd, 2011 and should be available with current updates regarding Allcare sometime in the early to mid afternoon.

Please check back at that time. Allcare's phone and computer network is down but attempts are being made at this time to reactivate as soon as possible.

After Allcare Dental & Dentures closed up shop last weekend without warning to patients or employees, a local dentist office has reached out to the community to pick up the slack.

In a press release dated Sunday, Refresh Dental and Dental Express doctors wrote that they will treat Allcare patients that have services scheduled with Allcare. Refresh Dental has 12 offices throughout the Mahoning Valley and the greater Cleveland area.

Dear patients,

We are very sorry to inform you that Allcare Dental has closed down operations. There are no plans at this time to reopen the offices. We want to assure you that this sudden closing situation was not our intent; it was due to circumstances beyond our control that arose very quickly. We understand that you must be very upset and frustrated about this situation, but please allow us to begin to explain the circumstances to some extent here on this site below. Please read this entire message, including the bolded information below regarding what Allcare is doing to maintain the continuity of your dental care.

We apologize that we were not able to contact you by phone to notify you of the situation, but our companywide phone system and patient information computer network was abruptly shut down by our outside network provider. Allcare’s system remains completely shut down with no knowledge of when it will be back on but we are working to find a resolution to the issue. So at this time, this website is the only way we can keep you informed and up to date with your offices situation and status.

The reason for the closing is because the business became severely cash constrained and had no way to continue to operate going forward. Allcare was confident in their financial plan to avoid this situation. The plan was to wind down underperforming offices while at the same time raising capital from an equity group. However, the projected closing date for that equity deal was missed and the company did not have the time it needed to get to a closing with the capital group. Bridge financing was attempted to fill the financial gap but there was no success with obtaining that.

At this time, Allcare is working hard to transfer patient records and unfinished dental work to dentists with offices located as close as possible to the Allcare offices that are now closed. Within the past 24 hours, we have already begun transitioning patients in certain areas to new dental offices. Those offices will be listed soon. Our efforts will continue and updates will be posted to this site informing you of where your dental records will be transferred and where you may want to go to continue and/or complete your dental treatment. The State Dental Boards are being notified of the situation today. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this difficult time. Please know that we will do everything we can to quickly transition you and your dental records to a new dentist.

In the meantime, if you are experiencing a dental emergency, you will need to locate another dentist in your area at your cost, go to the emergency room or call 911. You can locate other dentists by referencing your local Yellow Pages or by contacting your county dental society.

All patients need need to go to their local dental board immediately. They need to know the names of the owners so that they don't try to open another practice under a different name. The owner of Allcare dental was Dr.Robert Bates and Dave Pennington. They also might use Dr. Wayne Sterba. Please use these names to make them pay for this terrible unjustice they have caused all employees and patients of Allcare. I am a former manager and had to be notified by my employees on new years eve that my employment was ended and my health insurance for my 2 kids and wife ended immediately.

You've been going to the dentist and the work is not finished, yet. But now, the office is closed. It's happening to patients at Allcare Dental and Dentures on Kingston Pike in West Knoxville.

Some of these patients have prepaid thousands of dollars to have their dental work done. They said they had no idea that the office was closing and are now scrambling to recoup their money or find another
dentist.

Seventy-four-year old Jack Waugh had been complaining about his partial dentures to the staff at Allcare, but when he went to talk to his dentist today - he couldn't get in the building.

"The door was closed," Waugh said. "All of their offices are closed in the State of Tennessee."

The sign on the door at Allcare says the office has been closed, effective Dec. 31, and the practice is working to find dentists. The news has left Waugh and other patients out in the cold and out of money.

"You pay them upfront and have no way of getting your money back. I paid $5,000 up front before they would do anything," Waugh said.

Susan McQuestion of Seymour was using a dentist at Allcare, she says. And she'd already paid nearly $3,000 for her care.

"I paid upfront and I haven't been told anything," McQuestion said. "I just don't know. They never called me and said they were cancelling."

Lafayette resident Connie Bellinger said she paid $250 to have dental work done at Allcare on her husband's tooth implant, which had become loose and infected. But after doing initial work, the office rescheduled a visit that was planned before Christmas.


"They called the day before his appointment and said 'due to unforeseen circumstances' it was rescheduled for January," Bellinger said. "They obviously knew they were going to close when they rescheduled. The way they handled the closing is not very moral or very upright."

It appears that Allcare has a corporate office in Williamsville, New York. But when we called, we only got a busy signal.

Deborah Curry had an appointment scheduled at AllCare dental off Perryville to pick up her final pair of dentures. But when she got there, the doors were locked.

"A lot of us have financed through a company, so they still have our money but we still don't have a final product," Curry said.



"There isn't a lot that when a business closed that we can do but you can if you paid money to them you can contact the Attorney General's office," Horton said.

The web-site says attempts are being made to restore their phone and computer systems. But for now some patients may have trouble getting their dental records

OP, I'm sorry for your problems, but perhaps I can offer you a solution for your problem with the infection in the jaw/teeth.

If you can find a healthfood store that sells homeopathic remedies, go and purchase one called mercurius corrosivus, get it in the strength 200CH and in liquid form if you can, if not the small white pills will have to do. While you are there get 1M strength as well.

These remedies are not expensive and if it's the right remedy they can sometimes work almost like magic.

If you do this, once you have the remedies begin with the 200CH first. You must not eat or drink or even smoke for half an hour before taking the remedy or after taking the remedy.

With the liquid form of the remedy place 10 drops in a teaspoon and add "distilled" water (not tap water, it must be pure distilled water) to make a teaspoon. When you take the liquid in your mouth hold it on your tongue for a couple of minutes before you swallow. If you get the small white pills, hold them until they dissolve under your tongue. Once you have done this, watch what happens to you, if you feel sleepy, then take a nap. If this remedy is the proper one you should feel relief pretty quickly.

If it works but doesn't take the pain away completely then take the stronger remedy 1M and do the same thing.

You should, if the pain returns take another dose of the remedy. You SHOULD NOT take the remedy if you have no pain, do you understand this? You should take the remedy once each day for a couple of days and above all, if you see and feel improvement you should not take any more of the remedy.

This worked many times for me, so I know homeopathic remedies are very effective.
