No, if you read the article, the task force found it was NOT intentional. They thought it was intentional at first because of the weird gashes.

Are ALL of the birds showing signs of internal bleeding and trauma whether they hit a solid stucture or not? From what I have been reading, the injuries seem to be effecting the neck and breast area. Some birds in other countries are reporting decapitation and breast injuries. Poison would not have this effect.

I want to only add fish kills of more than say 100 from now on as significant.. Fish kills of less that in ponds and only seen in one species tends to be disease or pollutant related.

We are moving to look at large scale fish kills as they tend to shoal and fish that are in rivers mainly rather than ponds.

Many ponds and lakes hold static water that isn't replenished very quickly we want to LIST kills with more unexplainable causes where generally all other causes can be easily ruled out.

This case looks like pollutants.

Canada does not have birds falling dead. I have confirmed with my cousin. She works at the Level 5 lab and told me the only bird issue was the H5N2 issue with the turkey breeders from Nov/2010.

Are these more or less than the average number of incidents in a given year.

Are we seeing a statistical cluster or something more pronounced?

Someone needs to draft a spreadsheet for the last 10 years and post it. We can then analyze and improve upon the data until we can posit some real hypothesis.

It would be just as interesting to know that these are NORMAL occurrences then ABNORMAL.

For goodness sake, if these sizable kills have been going on for a long time then someone has the opportunity to create an honest to god research paper investigating the probable common causes.

If it's a spike, then you have good statistical data to back up our claim, not just a hunch. You'll be taken more seriously by more people and lay the groundwork for distributed teamwork to play a part.
