I don't know if this could be a significant factor in this case, but I find it very interesting that Louisiana was allocated nearly $200,000 in this last 1.3 trillion handout to control the blackbird population. Can't find any information on methods my state intends to implement the depopulation of these birds. My neighbors said that in the past they have used cages placed in the fields to trap them. I can attest to the fact that our state has a serious problem with these birds. I have seen hundreds gather in my oak trees. Their presence cannot be ignored due to the noise they make. Personally, I enjoy watching my oak trees turn into one huge black mass. It is a wonderful sight to see, but the local farmers hate them.
