Project disclosure and UFO appearances

One question that never seems to be asked is that after all these years of sightings, close encounters and allegedly recovering wrecked craft and dead crews, ET must be fully aware (and possess the technology to moniter our communications to learn this) that we can see them and that many of us would love for them to stop and have a chat.

So why is it that ET never makes a full public appearance that cannot be doubted as the real thing (something like on The Day the Earth stood still or several of them escorting the space shuttle down to land or appearing at some major world event witnessed by thousands)?

I just cannot see the sense in flying many billion light years to annoy some guy driving his truck along a dirt road in Kansas makes any sense.

It's like the sign the old timer holds up in ET..."Stop and be friendly"

If they keep coming here they might as well at least acknowledge their presence.
