I would hate to be those without God's mark on their foreheads soon.

In 9:6, John records an awful sentence:

Men and women alike will try to die, but will not be able to. Like Job, they will “long for death…. And dig for it more than for hidden treasures” (Job 3:21). But it will elude them. They will cripple and injure themselves but somehow will be unable to finish the job.

What an awful time period. Can you imagine wanting to die and not being able to? The Lord refuses to give these rebels any satisfaction. Is God a sadistic God? No, but He is a just God that gives men and women who reject Him what they want:

It's amazing how primitive we still are as a species. When something anomalous happens, so many immediately jump to primitive and superstitious answers without even thinking.

Give science a chance to examine the data. Might take a few months (oh, no - not a few months!), but perhaps they'll come up with reasonable, realistic answers, or even say they don't know...which, of course, will all be some kind of CONSPIRACY! Not.

Or, we could just sacrifice some virgins to a volcano. Geez.

Here's to you. Some sanity! Remarkable how if anyone spends any time at a board like this, you will see 99.9999% of all conjecture soundly disproved. And yet with renewed emotion and gusto, the same mentality prevails... Jump to baseless conclusions and attack those who call for discretion. It's really just tribal superstition reinforced by other primitives.

I think we are on to sometthing here. The Tribal Superstitions of Conspiracy Sites.

Maybe all the animals are just committing suicide.

lol

Nah, i'm kidding. I'm pretty sure it's the death of the gulf stream from the gulf coast oil spill. Fish just don't want to migrate into oily water, and the jet stream has lost heat because oil isn't allowing heat swap from the ocean to the atmosphere.

Still no one has been able to explain how flocks would suddenly all drop dead. Sick birds don't die in unison. No one has seen them sick or dying. Only dead birds found appeared overnight. Birds do not fly by night. Other explanation needed. And NOT a supernatural one.

With the Internet news travels fast and sometimes I wonder what is the norm have events such as birds and fish dying in mass been occurring all along. I do realize that in my location, the bird population has not been as plentiful as previous years but the cause remains a mystery.

Several years ago, we had an extremely hot dry year and the oak trees failed to produce acorns and the squirrel population was diminished quite a bit however, they appear to have recovered.
 Quoting: SilverPatriot

Yes this stuff has always been going on, the internet is driving people a bit batty and the MSM is also just reporting what all the nuts on the internet are always saying now adays... people always been saying stuff like this, but it was not spread around the whole world like nowadays.

We are doomed because of the internet.

I agree with you Shillaber for the most part...

It is the massive bird deaths that are the most freaky part of this entire fiasco. The mass fish deaths have been occuring for some time now and have been largely underreported.

However, birds do fly at night on occaision...

Salmon runs in the Sacramento River have been very low for the last 3 or 4 years. This year, 2010, they were at the lowest anyone can remember! Tons of herbicides and pesticides flow into this river and into the Pacific Ocean. Cumulative effects?

Herbicides, pesticides over fishing all have an effect on fish populations.

Herbicides, pesticides over fishing have all effected the Chesapeake Bay, but it apears that this wasn't the reason for this fish kill.

Dead fish in the Chesapeake, birds dying in Arkansas and Kentucky, thousands of crab corpses littering beaches in England.

These random incidents around the world have unleashed a flood of conspiracy theories, each proclaiming government cover-ups or apocalyptic proclamations about the end of the world.

"Personally, I definitely do believe we're in the End of Days, and I believe there is a lot of evidence of that," Steve Wohlberg, an author and theologian who has written several books about the end of the world, told the Daily News.

Although he believed experts needed time to perform tests to determine how and why these animals perished, the deaths are "mysteriously interesting," and part of a larger picture that indicates the world is spiraling downward towards its end.

"I'm an observer of the times," said Wohlberg, who hosts a nationally syndicated radio show and has appeared on several television documentaries about the Bible and the Apocalypse. "The End of Days will have a parallel to the days of Noah," he said.

Re: Dead birds, fish around world spark flood of wild conspiracy theories from End of Days to HAARP
Actually when you look around Canada's north you can see how much of our forests have been turned into checker boards.

ARound my lake when you go to an area that has been forested, even with people planting trees and the such, the land is very unlike how it WAS before the forestry people came in. Basically these areas, when you visit them, look like, at their worst, small warzones. The way the ecology of the area has been torn to shreds doesn't seem to offer a great climate in which the regrowth of said ecology returns.

Areas where the ground has been torn up from massive roots transform into little canyons, as rain washes the topsoil and mud away to another area, which then becomes compacted down from the runaway much. This then dries into small areas of clay desert, and then wind pushes a choking dust in every direction, further burrying the good ecology.

As the little story above translates over into thousands of similar incidences, it all adds up to you panning your gaze over the area and just seeing obliteration. The trees that tree planters plant have their work cut out for them in the new conditions.
