Have bird and fish kills like this ever happen before? Yes in fact far greater kill offs have happened. Have these other kill offs herald the end of days ... no.

Nikki, perhaps a better name for you would have been Pollyanna. LOL

I would like to see if the reports of the bird deaths are in order of the earths rotation. I feel if so then I would suspect some type of radiation from space may be causing this. I am not worried about the fish yet.

Yup, as a professional diver I can attest to the fact that the change in water temps last year changed the type of marine life that was either suddenly around at places they weren't before or absent compared to the last 10 years before. I didn't hear of dead fish in the Red Sea yet tho...something's changing imho.

Haven't you all heard? The scientists are saying this is normal. There is on average 168,000 of these types of events every year. Maw ahahahahahahahahahah So is GLP posters blowing this out of poportion? I personally don't rememeber hearing about these types of events last year.

- There are reports that bats are dying in unusual numbers too. And they are warmblooded mammals. I go for the cosmic ray theory. There was an enormous explosion in 2005, that was mentioned on the front page of mainstream media here in Norway. The charged particles travel slightly below the speed of light and could be impacting the earth now, six years after. Smaller bodies are more vulnerable, naturally, since a single particle will affect a greater percentage of vital tissue.

You got that right, once one of my crew told me of a mysterious fish kill that happened on Elphinstone Reef (south of Hurghada), he said 100's of brown small fish were floating dead around it and he's never seen anything like this in his 20 years as a captain in the Red Sea. We had suspected poison which some illegal fishermen sometimes use, but then why would it kill only one species? This happened in 2009 tho, also nothing was reported. I'm sure we'd never hear about it unless it happens on a touristic beach area, even then egyptian officials are quite good at covering things up.

They happen all the time it just rarely makes the news.

Maybe if you ever lived on the water you would know how common fish kills are.

The most common on the Chesapeake Bay are in mid summer from a lack of oxygen in the water do to a sharp rise in water temperature.
