why are old people so mean and short - tempered??

For the same reason old people in nursing homes are perverted, cursing, grumpy, disguisting, filthy people...no all but most of them; they are possessed and have been most of their lives. The old body is just taken over pretty much and the only thing that comes out of them is vileness.

See? Idiot. They are in pain and everyone they care about is dead. They are sad and suffering. And the worst part is no one has any sympathy. Imagine having the worst of a cold for the rest of your life and your brothers and sisters keep dying and the only time you go out is to funerals and the doctor and pharmacy. it's fucking SAD, you idiots.

OP: Give the guy a break. He is old, alone and a crank. Try doing something nice...leave something with a little note on his front porch. Don't disturb him, just leave it. Coffee, donuts, I don't know, think of something. Just try it. It will work.

I used to live by the meanest old lady I have ever met. She would stand on the other side of our fence and throw rocks at it to get my dog to bark. One day I left her a potted mum w/a note. She stopped and sort of became civil.
