Learn to coupon/sale shop. I just bought $228.00 worth of groceries for $42.00 using coupons during a super double coupon sale at my local grocery store. Many canned good were on sale, great for stock piling. I would also suggest buying up as much rice, sugar and flour that you can store properly.

All prices are up with flat wage growth = Stagflation. The worst of both worlds.

Hey SS I was just wondering to myself yesterday where the hell you had gone off to. Spot on as per usual although this rise in food prices has been going on for the last year or so. There have been at least 15 threads over the last year about this and the tricks used to cover it up. The difference now is that it is wide open and brazen to say the least. I have been following the commodities for years and have never seen the likes of an "across the board" increase the likes of which we are seeing now. You name it Sugar/Cotton all of them. A friend indicated to me the other day by any cotton products you may need now as we are about to see a 30% increase in the price of goods made from cotton.

NOw I believe this:

1) the trend is going to continue. massive dollar printing.
countries will start to appreciate their currency ( like China) to "contain inflation. If China appreciate its currency guess what it happens ( coff coff dollar is going to be devalued coff coff)

2) a small correction in commodities may take place in the next 2 months. There is a chance of a massive raid against silver shorts in march 2011.


3) gold ,silver and food will be safe haven. there will be volatility. but hold on. the crisis continues.


4) we are in the midst of a monetary crisis. it has already begun.

1)buy food you can eat later you will save money.
2) got physical gold or silver? if not, you are dumb . it is not too late to jump in. buy silver but know that silver price can go down between 10-15% in the next months. It will go back to 30's and then heading to 50 U$S /oz

3) don`t believe the "recovery" . the system is broken and getting worse as I write this.
