I also said

Best outcome it will be a super cell. But going on wind rotation and sea surface temperature that would be the Min.

Prepare, check your insurance is in order, clean up outside, clean your roof, expect at over a foot of rain under 24hours.

If you live in a flood prone area Prep now. E.g. how are you going to transport pets, make arrangements as to where you will go?

This has the makings of another 1974 flood or worse

Go fuck yourself

Im down stream from this

89mm since 9am and 60mm of that fell in one hour !! That poor woman and child - imagine a 2m wall of flood water coming at you out of nowhere.

Scary, scary stuff going on here. I hear they think parts of Brisbane are going to flood too - only the dam is saving the city.

Re: A wall of water.... Breaking now
what is going on?

1. the rothschilds screwed the ocean currents with HAARP because of past 5 years of blowing holes in the ionosphere to make it HOT to sell their carbon tax.. now the earth is repairing itself

2. elites in China are creating these rain clouds and there are wars going on between chinese elite who are sick of rothschilds and want to ruin their carbon tax

3. the rothschilds are making these rain clouds with seeding and haarp because they figured out they can destroy more food and farming land with floods that they did with drought

4. weather modification doesnt exist .. which is false.. because we all know it does exist from various sources.. including governments admitting to succesfully cloud seeding etc

Both - the rivers are rising due to all the flash flooding in the dry washes. What happened in Toowoomba today sounds like a 2m flash flood.

Seeing footage of Rockhampton under water - so many flooded houses and no stilts (or whatever the aussie term is). You would think it would be mandatory to build the old way up there - on stilts.

I thought it was just for the snakes - now I realise they were built for the bad monsoons.

Re: A wall of water.... Breaking now
We are still on water restrictions in SE Queensland as half ofBrisbane looks set to end up in the pacific Ocean over the next few months.

The three major dams have had to open their flood gates or the dams will bust. They are releasing This is not natural. Large sections around Brisbane received 250 mills plus in just 24 hours.

Water Release Update (Monday 10 January, 2.00pm)
Wivenhoe Dam
Upstream levels are rising quickly as a result of significant heavy rainfall. The objective for dam operations will be to minimise the impact of urban flooding in areas downstream of the dam.

Gate Releases of around 170,000 megalitres a day are underway and are likely to increase due ongoing inflows and predicted rainfall and are to continue until at least Sunday 16 January.

Local Councils have been advised that as a result of Lockyer Creek flows, local runoff and Wivenhoe releases, Twin Bridges, Savages Crossing, Burtons Bridge, Kholo Bridge Colleges Crossing, Fernvale Bridge, and Mt Crosby Weir Bridge may be inundated until at least the weekend.

There is currently NO ACCESS to Wivenhoe Dam, including the Spillway Common (Spillway viewing area). The entire site is closed.

Somerset Dam
As a result of rainfall and inflows, water is being released into Wivenhoe through five sluice gates at about 95,000 megalitres per day and is likely to continue until Thursday 13 January. Areas around Kilcoy are likely to be impacted as a result of the rising dam levels.

North Pine Dam
Five gates are open, releasing around 43,000 megalitres a day and will continue until at least Wednesday 12 January.

As far as I know (I could be wrong, I'm from NSW, not QLD) the typical Queenslander (with stilts) is to regulate the heat, and keep the breeze flowing. That's what someone told me....they could've been taking the piss....

Crazy times down here, I called a friend of mine that lives in Brissy and thank God they're okay. Really hoping things settle down for Queensland.

Mainly they are built like that for flooding reasons. Even in NSW you have to build elevated homes in bad flood prone areas.
