Ask Congress to cut expenses by proudly serving tap water
Congress spent $190,000 on bottled water in the first quarter of 2010. Speaker Boehner wants to cut the budget for House offices. The general manager of DC Water and Sewage Authority (DC Water) recently sent Speaker Boehner a letter urging him to cut expenses, protect the environment and help support investment in the nation's drinking water infrastructure by dropping bottled water and choosing tap water.

Ask your representative to support fiscal responsibility by cutting spending on bottled water.

Congress Must Act Now to Restore and Protect the Gulf Coast

On January 11th, the Oil Spill Commission released a devastating report on the BP oil disaster, which concluded that systemic failures throughout the oil industry mean that a similar catastrophe "might well recur."

We already knew this.

But with the one year anniversary of the BP oil disaster approaching in April, Gulf Coast communities are still waiting for action from Congress. Tell Congress that Gulf Coast communities cannot wait any longer -- it's time for action to restore the Gulf Coast and prevent future oil disasters on our shores.

all souls stand up and take action!

would you like a better world???

make it happen!

thank you

I have lost all faith in those fuckers to make a single decision that will benefit anyone but themselves and their buddies.

We're going to have to let them drown in their own greed and learn to take care of each other.

US Government to Europe: Give This to Your People Or There Will be "Some Pain"

A WikiLeaks release of U.S. diplomatic cables has revealed that the Bush administration planned ways to retaliate against Europe for its refusal to use genetically modified seeds.

According to Democracy Now:

"In 2007, then-U.S. ambassador to France Craig Stapleton was concerned about France's decision to ban cultivation of genetically modified corn produced by biotech giant Monsanto. He also warned that a new French environmental review standard could spread anti-biotech policy across Europe ...

In the leaked cable, Stapleton writes, quote, '... Moving to retaliation will make clear that the current path has real costs to EU interests and could help strengthen European pro-biotech voice.'"

Stapleton recommended retaliations that would cause "some pain" across the EU. Folks, this is pretty much conclusive proof that the U.S. government is working towards Monsanto's pro-GM goals.
