Observation of Compassionate Animal Behavior:Elephant Saves Turtle
Posted from Mike White [link to all-ez.com]

A line of African elephants were making a line of march in single file.A small turtle was slowly making his way, over the path about to cross that of the elephants. When the turtle was in the most danger of being crushed,a female elephant slowed and stopped, took her right foot, and carefully slid the turtle in the direction it wanted to go for safety. She was not only protecting it from herself, but all those behind who may not have noticed the little creature. It touched ne.So,be kind and thoughtful to other creatures, and learn from this wise and good elephant.

Re: Observation of Compassionate Animal Behavior:Elephant Saves Turtle
The one I saw (years ago) was where a turtle must have slipped on it's way to a water hole and tumbled, and ended up on it's back, and would have surely cooked to death in the hot sun. On his way down to the water hole an big male elephant, without looking walked right past the thing, then stopped, and with his right hind foot, gently turned the turtle over on it's feet. The elephant never looked back, just continued down to the water hole.

Nice elephant!

These stories just re-inforce why I generally like animals better than most people.
