Speaking of dogs, I have extra harnesses and leashes for dogs that may need rescue, and a doggie life vest if a tsunami comes. Don't underestimate the value of a pack of dogs for protection, carrying some of your stuff, hunting (hounds will get you some squirrels and rabbits and raccoons) and general safety.

After some sort of calmness and civility returns after the initial chaos, a dogsled team pulling a wagon would be a valuable asset.
