For 35 years I wore Confederate Uniforms and took part in a lot of cermonies to honor our fallen soldiers and we never had to deal with MLK statues, but we did hold some of these in areas that had large black communities and I'm sure we made them feel less than comfortible and I'm sorry we did that.

Period. He should serve as a reminder of how not to be. There was nothing good about what he did or who he was.
