it's actually a little more complex than that...
the priesthood of the aztecs, hopi, mayans, etc. were taken over by those who follow the 'illuminated path'... NOT of the TRUE CREATOR... they practiced flesh and blood sacrifice, ripping out the beating hearts of the people they supposedly "served"... just as today, as we serve them, so too did all those indigenous tribes or else...
The Hopi frequently wrote about how violent and evil they were...

Nonetheless, I believe, if you read all of the Manly P. Hall, Edgar Cayce, Walter Russell, Arlin Hauser, etc., and it ties in nicely with most of the Mayan and other Indigenous Prophesy with respect to a change is a coming (i.e the time around 2012).

I personally believe that what is coming will be of monumental spiritual significance. If I ever doubt that, I just remember how hard the Illuminati has endeavored to keep us in the Left Brain/Materialistic thinking. Apparently, they don't want you to be whole brained for some reason.
