I live in south central alaska...
I have noticed us picking up a bit too much daylight for January.
Plus the sun is soooooo freaking bright!!!
Even with shades it just blinds ya, hard to drive at certain times of day between the low angle and the intensness of the sun.
I have talked to other locals about this and they are all reporting same thing, we all even said we just thought our eyes were more sensitive or something..(Over 40 group here, tho' even my kids have said the same thing as well)

Something is up in the world, that is for sure!!


Thanks for at least confirming that the sun is brighter and more daylight then there should be. Hopefully we will get more light shed on this!!

Something is most certainly wrong tho', I have been up here almost 20 years and this year is VERY different!! Wierd wind storms more than norm, abnormal pecipitation patterns, abnormal temp variations, no northern lights, we had temps a couple weeks ago that we had in July for goodness sake!!!
And the 90 MPH wind events that are occurring frequently are most odd..
