Quoting: PurpleskyDragonflyWould you do it? Would you invest in an H2? Give me your thoughts please. No, the H2 may look cool, but it's just a "Hummer" type shell on a truck frame. It's made to look cool, but not much of an off-road vehicle. If you're set on a Hummer go with the original (H1), which was built to withstand the rough off-road environment. |

No, it's not the Hummer the military has...The H2 looks similar but it's chassis and drive train are that of a 1/2 ton Chevy pickup truck...nothing special about it other than looks. Oh, and "invest" LOL, no way is it an investment...it will never be worth more than you paid for it! If I wanted a "toy" I'd rather buy a classic car, like a Porsche from the 80s, and let it renovate it professionally. That may be an investment - but an H2? However, for the same money I'd probably take flying lessons if I was living in the US. Hey, but to each their own. |

It is actually designed to be hammered off road. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1005303+1 I was looking for a pic when you posted this. Only if they have solved the electrolysis problem that is eating the metal of those trucks...The manifolds, EGR tubes, studs, most all metal on the truck is eaten by stray electrical current... Anonymous Coward User ID: 1222216 United States 01/22/2011 01:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | H2 are a pile of crap. Only good thing about them are they are big and noticeable so buy one if you plan on advertising a business with a vinyl wrap or something so you can be a driving bill board. Other than that, they are semi-status symbol and very impractical. The fact that the Hummer brand is now gone, their value will plummet, more so when gas gets back to $5 so don't plan on doing well with resale value. |
