Mother Mary User ID: 628029 United States 01/23/2011 11:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I am in the process of uploading video of the moon doing this horizontal thing. The moon just rose here at 10:35 PM and I was waiting for it. My son actually took the video and he did a great job because you can see the trees in front of the moon and you can see the moon moving up into the sky so you know the camera isn't turned around 180 degrees (My video camera corrects itself when I turn it over 180 degrees.) The video is 89 MG and is right now 20% uploaded. I'll probably start a new thread though...well, maybe not. My anthem to the shills of GLP: We're never gonna, believe in, the stories, that you're weavin' We're believin' in the proof, we're believin' in the truth We're believin' in each other, not you, you, you (Bang Bang Bang - Mark Ronson) ------------------------------------ Janey's "doesntwannabeglpsobad" ~Google It~ ------------------------------------ “Of course I'm crazy, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong.” - Robert Anton Wilson |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 497059 United States 01/23/2011 11:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What you've described is not only perfectly normal, but it MUST happen this way. The principle at work is that the bright round edge of the moon (not the line between lunar light and dark, which is called the terminator) MUST always point toward the sun along a great circle. At sunset in the time of First Quarter (where we are right now, in the days around December 14, 2010) and at sunrise in a Last Quarter, the great circle connecting the sun and the moon rises up from the horizon and becomes horizontal at its highest point. The moon reaches its highest point in the sky that day at sunset in a first quarter and at sunrise in a last quarter. So, at those moments, the moon MUST be horizontal. The opposite is best seen a few days before and after New Moon. In the winter and early spring of the year, the waxing crescent moon lies almost flat, a few days after new moon, with the lighted round edge pointing almost straight down. Look again, though, in the summer or early autumn. At those times, the waxing crescent in temperate latitudes will look like it's standing on one of its horns, with the center of the bright rounded edge always pointing at the sun of course. The reason for the difference is that in the winter and early spring, the waxing crescent has moved north of the sun in the evening sky. The great circle leading to the sun makes a steep angle with the horizon. Since the bright round edge of the moon must always point toward the sun, it lies flat. In summer and early autumn, the moon after sunset has moved south of the sun, and the line of the great circle runs almost parallel to the horizon. Therefore, the crescent moon must stand nearly upright so the round lighted edge can face the sun. |

I would suggest finding some 3rd grader doing a science fair project with styrofoam balls and a flashlight and ask him to teach you. Because anything we say goes right over your head. Look, tard...Its simple physics. Not only has it always happened, it HAS to happen. It would be physically impossible for it NOT to tilt throughout the night. |

Of course they can't show any video or photo of the moon doing this 10 years ago, if it just started happening, even though it has "always happened like this." In that case there should be tons of photos and videos. I am amazed how many of us are here that are saying that there is a change! And gee, NONE of us ever saw before now. Oh that's right, we weren't paying attention. The same disturbance that are pulling the Earth orbit closer to the Sun, increasing the magma levels at the underground, and disrupting the magnetic field, is also affecting the Moon. Specifically when the Moon is at the inner solar side of its orbit. The force is so strong that it pull the Moon farther from Earth on that position, and also tilt the Moon's angle. We will expect an unusual increase of waves, and severe coastal flooding, when the Moon is on the other side. In summary: Positions: SUN-EARTH-MOON ---> The moon is pulled closer to the Earth, triggering coastal flooding & unusual high waves. SUN-MOON-EARTH ---> The moon is pulled with the Earth toward/closer to the Sun This, is not just weird, but we are in the middle of a Worldwide Cataclysm. We have not to wait for doom, we are inside it. |
