The Moon rotates.

First, the Moon rotates about its own axis. There is no dark side. There is a side (rather, about 41% of the surface) that is never seen from Earth. And the reason this is so is because the Moon rotates about its own axis simultaneously with its revolution around the Earth; like a ballet dancer doing a spin, it turns in order to present a single face to the audience.

(If you don't know classical ballet, that example will fly right by you, sorry.)

Secondly, the EARTH rotates. Because we are on the surface of a rotating sphere, everything beyond our atmosphere appears to move. The universe appears to rise in the East and set in the West.

Think of riding in a Ferris Wheel without pivoting cars. As you pass over the top and begin to descend, the world appears upside-down to you. As you pass through the lowest part of the wheel, you orient back around to normal.

This is what the entire observed universe does. The Moon enters our view in the East with one side "on top," and exits our view in the West with the other side "on top."

A moment's thought would show this.



OR YOU COULD GO OUTSIDE AND OBSERVE REALITY FOR AN HOUR OR TWO.

Understand that the world is round. If two people were each standing on the poles of earth, and could both see the moon at the same time each would see an exactly upside down image of what the other was seeing.

My point is that it depends on where you are on this round earth object, on how the objects in space are oriented.

I used to live in Florida...so it was warm in the winter and I was outside a lot and nope, I still never remember seeing it like this.

And why does everyone keep trying to explain it when a simple PICTURE or VIDEO of it doing this in the past would help to prove your points? I have video, but suddenly no one has video of it doing this exact thing that they claim happens all the time. Again....A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!

The first time I ever noticed the moon doing this before was several (5?) years ago. But then I noticed the Mauritanian flag -- and had always wondered by their crescent looked more like a bowl than the crescent moon & I realized its been happening forever I just never really thought about it before.

Great, a picture of a countries flag. Maybe they thought the moon looked cool like that. Does it say anywhere that they based the flag off the moon looking like that in real life?

Again, it has been happening FOREVER but no one can show us a picture of it.

The same disturbance that are pulling the Earth orbit closer to the Sun, increasing the magma levels at the underground, and disrupting the magnetic field, is also affecting the Moon.

Specifically when the Moon is at the inner solar side of its orbit. The force is so strong that it pull the Moon farther from Earth on that position, and also tilt the Moon's angle. We will expect an unusual increase of waves, and severe coastal flooding, when the Moon is on the other side.
In summary:

Positions:
SUN-EARTH-MOON ---> The moon is pulled closer to the Earth, triggering coastal flooding & unusual high waves.
SUN-MOON-EARTH ---> The moon is pulled with the Earth toward/closer to the Sun

This, is not just weird, but we are in the middle of a Worldwide Cataclysm. We have not to wait for doom, we are inside it.

It looks like that in real life,,, anywhere 15 degrees above the equator...

So move along folks, nothing to see here -- just a "wet crescent moon." Never mind that EVERY photo of moon phases you can find clearly show a vertical waxing and waning.

If you see this image while standing at the north pole, someone standing at the south pole would see the opposite. They would see the dark side on the left. The two people are completely upside down to each other, because the world is round.

My observations from Georgia: the moon is rising much later than normal, it is seen huge and bright in the day sky, the face on the moon is tiltled lately.
I have seen a smiling moon when I lived in Japan - amazed me first time I saw it. Saw a smiling moon here recently here too - past couple of months.
People everywhere are 'noticing' the moon - in ways they've never noticed before.
Also the sun - can't even look at it anymore - incredibly bright.
The sky is definately full of interesting anomolies. Keep your eyes up!!!

Yes we did mention pictures and videos from more then 2 years ago right? I thought we were clear on that point? Like a picture or video from 2000. I want to know why, if the moon does this so often and it is normal then why doesn't any of the websites that show you the phases of the moon show us this phenomenon happening? It shows the moon phasing VERTICALLY.

Yes, I was amazed at that comment too. About auto correcting and how no one ever took pictures of the moon except astronomers before 1975. (1975 was when the first digital camera came out.) They became used a lot for personal use in the early 1990's.

Yes, EVERY photo of the moon clearly shows vertical waxing and waning. Still waiting for that picture of the moon that doesn't wax and wane vertically. At least one from 2000 or so.
