Mark of the stars? I never correlated such a connection, but will tell you it rings utterly true from experience. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 728979My mother had facial moles, and NEVER looked her age, but always 15 or more years younger. Her mother had same, and lived to be 96. I have same, and can't imagine living so old. I am sorry that your mom is no longer with you. sounds like they had long full lives. God Bless. This is 100% verifiable.. it took all these years for someone to finally study it. But people still don't know the WHY? The flip-side of the question is; Why do people with longer telomeres have beauty marks on their skin. Why are we marked? The moles could be a "side-affect" of something relating to longevity, not the cause of it, perhaps? My mom had the rarest bloodtype going, which I don't recall the specs of...it was rarer than owl-doo, and Red Cross was always after her to donate, which she did as long as her health/age permitted. She was also incredibly psychic..we're talking back in the early 1960's before such things were mainstreamed. Yeah, I'm wondering if there's correlation between moles/longevity/blood-type/psychic abilities. the least prevalent blood type is AB- followed by O- |

Mark of the stars? Sweet, I have more than 100 little ones scattered everywhere. I can even make out 2-3 constellations! Quoting: KaigeI'm only just 24 (5 days in!) so I don't know about aging well. Although most people mistake me for being 17. All the women on my maternal side have plentiful moles. My mother is in her early 50's, but could easily pass for 40. She has beautiful skin, not a wrinkle to be seen. She also has kick-ass bone structure, so she has no trouble making mens heads turn! My grandmother always looked 10 years younger; but she did die young from cancer (pancreatic), so I don't know about long lived. My great-grandmother died at 96, great-great died at 98, great-great-great was 95 I think? And as far as I know the daughters/sisters/cousins all lived long. The men don't seem so lucky...but it seems most of the men aren't born with many moles. Interesting. AWESOME!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING, another confirmation of; A) Attractive looking B) Beauty marks +100 (some resembling known star constellations) C) 7 plus years younger looking D) Longer Living Family (except in cases of E) E) Cancer in family Do you mind if I ask you what your nationality is and hate to sound like a vampire or one of these blood ghouls on here, but do you know what blood type you are? OP it may not be related at all Quoting: LarMoles (and skin tags) are a result of a sluggish liver Can you provide a reference that says Moles / Beauty marks- are caused by a sluggish liver? because I thought that was warts, skin tags and viral boils. Every study I have read during my extensive career of mole research (2 hours) says that moles are a hereditary trait. American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) maintains that moles "probably are determined before a person is born," and a product of genetic configuration. Read more: [link to www.livestrong.com] I did read that moles were caused by a sluggish liver on some herbal remedy website, but they offered no proof or citation and used it to sell "liver tonic" I think it is BS because most of us with +100 non-raised moles have had since childhood, with new ones forming and ones fading over time. according to the AAD This apparently happens until we are 40 or so and then it settles down. Now, everyone has some kind of mole or mark on their body, this thread is more for people with 100's to 1000's of them. |

Congratulations on your youthful appearance and what is bound to be a long life. I am sorry you hate your beauty marks- please don't, as they are lovely and make us who we are. I think a time has finally come in all of our lives to embrace our uniqueness. Let's start by getting rid of the word "MOLE" as this gross word congers up images ugliness and now that science has proven what we all have known for awhile (that we are wicked good-looking) Rock that bikini this summer women- after all, who else could do it at 50, except a person who has a blessing in the sign of the stars on their body. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 875198Those might be the beginning of new moles.. my new ones start out as red and then darken the next summer. or it is folliculitis and you need to see a dermatologist before it gets worse. |

Mark of the stars? i suffer with a large number of moles. one on my face and one on my scalp i removed with some of that stuff you buy online. you need to be careful with it, as it leaves a scar as big as the original mole. i treated the remaining scar on my face with a specialist scar dressing which i had to wear for about six months. it is claimed you can get rid of moles with castor oil or cider vinegar. earthclinic.com has some info about this. |

Mark of the stars? When I say Stars, I mean the actual Stars, not just the Hollywood kind that people associate with beauty marks. Quoting: Magnus74First Article: "What do Cindy Crawford and Robert DeNiro have in common? According to scientists they are probably going to live longer than most of us. This increased longevity, according to a new study from King's College in London, has nothing to do with their star power but everything to do with their facial moles. That's right, put away your wrinkle cream ladies because that little beauty mark that Marilyn Monroe first popularized now supposedly offers benefits that go far beyond good looks. Researchers discovered that people who have moles also have longer telomeres on their DNA. Your telomeres are the little end-caps on each chromosome that keep them from deteriorating so the longer your telomeres, the slower you age. People with moles also look about seven years younger than their smooth-faced friends. And the effect is magnified by the number of moles you have, the more the better, at least when it comes to their anti-aging benefits." Read More [link to www.ivillage.com] Sign up for iVillage Special Offers Excerpt from the UK study; "The effect is even quantifiable: if you have always resented your 100-plus moles, you can now take comfort from the fact that you will probably live six or seven years longer than someone with only 25 or so of the pesky things. That is, if a malignant melanoma doesn't get you first." [link to www.dvorak.org] I have thought this because my family has a long history of skin cancer associated with being riddled with beauty marks. If you can make it past 35 without getting cancer then you are golden in my family. All my Grandparents lived past 90 almost to 100 (Gram is 99 and still alive and almost fully independent.) She is a bit forgetful, but even my mom who is 80 and my sisters and myself look much younger than all of our friends (at least 10 years, but more noticeable the older you get) People comment on this all the time. Nobody in my family is bald, we get gray hair at around 60 and there are hardly any wrinkles on any of our skin no matter how old. The reason I am posting this is because of the RH negative threads talking about ET blood and wanted to see if we could connect some more dots as to what makes us different. However I am not RH negative - My blood type is AB positive, 100% Italian and have sandy blonde hair, blue eyes and riddled with beauty marks all over my body, (not freckles and not raised moles, even though I have a few of those, but tiny black round spots all over. This is the crazy part When i was a kid I noticed that they looked like stars.. I can even make out constellations, but think it is coincidence. If you have them, then you know what I mean. I am interested to learn what I have in common with you if you have them, and is your family like mine? I just think it is funny that they did a study on this and there might be more than what meets the eye. my grandmother had tons of moles, died at 94. My mom has lots and doesn't look her age at all. I also have alot of moles and look younger than I am. all three of us were RH neg. |
