My favorite is probably when I put them in a crock pot with a roast and other veggies. When they get really soft, and have soaked up liquid from the pot.
Quoting: Storm*Thanks, you completely ruined my response...but you forgot to add that they should be covered in rich beef broth while cooking and served with season salt, butter and garlic powder.
