Well in our solar system Jupiter at least acts as the protector of Earth.

And without the others we most likely wouldn't be positioned in the Goldilocks zone.

just a thought i think all the planets vacant or not are a piece of the magnetic puzzle of the universe each one has its own push pull holding everything together.

i know sounds silly but just my first thought and i am not a spacetard ;)

There is no 'point' to it exactly. It's not like someone decided to create the universe and leave it empty, because there is no god or gods.

However, those empty planets could one day be terraformed. Imagine it, humanity spreading out into the galaxy, calling forth life from lifelessness. Is there any nobler goal for our species?

If He made trillions of stars/planets it would prove He created the universe. Some people are willingly ignorant though. They believe all stars and planets created itself out of nothing. If the energy existed in fields of probability then "from nothing", in the context that nothing is simply an absence of matter and and that something implies the presence of matter such as virtual particles then it is quite possible that something came from nothing.

Nope, they are not vacant. Lots and lots of folks living there. They are just in a higher vibration/frequency than us. So we cannot see them or interact with them, unless they want to interact with us. OR if we highten our vibration/frequency so that we can interact with them:)
