Do we people from the midwest really speak funny?
A friend of mine that lives in cali said we speak funny, and use old people sayings. Is this true? LOL. Maybe I'm just being self-conscious, but really.

Do kids from the country speak like the parents from the city?

The Midwest US accent (or lack of) is the preferred form of American English.

Most foreigners ascribe to learn the Midwestern accent. Not too many Chines trying to learn 'Southern'.

Yes listen to any news or weather broadcast from around the country, they will all have the accent-less midwest 'accent'.

Well, there is a difference right about US Highway 50. I can tell a big difference anyway. I've lived on both sides. I don't think it's 'funny' really.

Your wrong.

Unless you want to discuss how your mouth is so purty. In fact, research into the most relevant state of the US the CIA started recruiting from for English mastery, not to mention many other language - yes, fluent. Take a moment to look past your nose and do some research.

That's cool. I go up to Evansville every couple weeks to visit my uncle. Hoosiers are cool.

If they would only learn that they can't fly HAHA. They come down here to Southern Illinois and try to jump off the camel rock at Garden of the Gods.

Every time they life flight someone from GOTG its someone from Indiana. HAHAHAHA. hf Hello neighbor. Nice seeing ya on GLP.

My grandpa calls all creeks cricks. That one is lost to my generation unfortunately.

Its amazing how just two generations ago, our families in some of these small towns were still living like they were in the 1800s.
