There was a time when the West controlled the media. People all over the world had only the BBC as a news source in their country and then CNN.However in the last few years AlJazeera and Press TV as well as Iran's Arabic channels have spread with alternative news. People are actually getting a different point of view then what BBC and CNN had been telling them for years.
Here in UK, Government is trying very hard to shut down Press TV because they are beating them at their own game.
My point is people like Chavez have a voice in media now where as before they only relied on BBC and CNN to tell the world what they said which never happpened unless it was twisted.
So now USA and UK are in a dilema because they no longer can lie or manipulate people to their way of thinking.
Consider what happened to Egypt 30 years ago when Mubarak came to power. All you had was the words of CNN and BBC and how events were taking shape. Today however USA is totally stuck and they are making a fool of themselves by contridicting themselves day in day out. Press TV is very popular in UK and the Arab world. Many consider it more truthful than Aljazeera because its not controlled by the Western backed government. Press TV is stopping UK and USA to turn people's opinion to their way of thinking.

Chavez is rightly pointing out that US government is a back stabbing player. He is not supporting Mubarak. And BTW, what he said was not for Americans but to the people in middle east to not trust america/UK. He is right on this note as we all know and the proof has been shown in the last few days

They need U.S. money more than they need Russian weapons for their oil.
